Went to a local mom and pop chain at midnight last night with a friend since that's where he was picking up his copy (i ordered mine on amazon); he got the collector/special edition without a preorder AND for only $61.80 before tax. DAMN.

Like 6k, basically just beat arcade mode a couple of times and everyone should be unlocked XD

You can get it through mission/practice mode but it takes significantly longer to farm PP through those.

Yeah a lot of this depends on who you have as well. Fly away, tp around the screen or initiate by forcing him to block. More useful if you have nice "defensive" things like the Redfield mines and grenades, Trish's traps, etc.

A lot of easy mode scrub Sents won't even use his command grab.

I have to check, but did someone manage to finish the Chun mission where you have to do the ground chain, jump cancel into air chain, then ground chain...?

For the life of me I can't get the s.L to connect after the j.S since they ground recover as soon as they land. I've seen Buk land it in game so I must be missing something.

Yeah I've been fighting lots of scrubs lately, but there's this one particular dude on PSN who wave dashes fullscreen in half a second and then command grabs me. Fuck, I need to learn how to bail out.

I see that the gamertag Marn used against NerdJosh was different than the one Max played against in his first compilation of online stuff. Does Marn have two 360 GTs?
 
The in-game clock seems slower than real life time. So 1 second in-game isn't actually 1 second in real life.

So if it's 10/15/20 real life seconds for X Factors then it's going to less for in-game clock time.

Yeah I just checked, in-game time is slower than real time.

Sadly my stupid random leg injury makes it a pain to sit down for extended periods but I put in like 3 hours last night.

I am still trying to train my brain with this new button layout. I am continually hitting the wrong buttons.

Watching those yipes and sanford videos has me ready to learn some new tricks.

I was worried unlocking my main (Akuma) would take a while (like it did in SFIV).
Now there just needs to be a pricecut before I pick up this game
 
Snuck out and picked up my copy. Now I have to go back to pretending like I want to work, I guess.

Edit: Oh, this reminds me. Are normal tags safe right after you KO someone? I was wondering about this. Seems like you have enough time that they might be.

Yeah dementia helped me out with this one... I didn't think I'd get used to the default control scheme (as it does look and feel weird at start) but I've managed to get very used to it now.

Except for A2, which I hate to press. It's in such an odd position and I can't hammer the crap out of it because of its position :/

Haven't tried Practice but I haven't heard it in Versus or Mission mode at all.

Out for delivery, I've been on blackout for this game (aside from character announcements I can't avoid) and I was never serious about MvC2 but I feel like this might by the first 2D fighter I really get into. I wish I could watch those Shoryuken guides here at work but I'll have to wait till I get home.

Right after class this morning, I set out for a copy of the CE and found myself at a Best Buy right at opening hour (10AM). I went to the game department upstairs and no one was there except for one guy in front of me. Funnily enough, we were both after the same thing, a PS3 CE version. The guy in charge whips out a new copy for the guy in front of me. All is good, until I come up and ask for the same thing. They guy looks around and calls up his associates only to deliver to me the worst news possible, there were no more copies of the CE at the store (seriously, WTF).

I'm this close to caving and getting the plebeian edition.

So crazy to think that it has been 10 years since I picked up MvC2 on Import for the Dreamcast...can't wait to pick this up and fire it up!
