So in this game sentinel is a must if you want to do something meaningful right? That's kind of boring ...
Completely untrue. Sent is just easy to learn the basics for and does quick, heavy damage along with having a solid assist.

He's not broken.

This game is like crack. My first fighting game since VF4 and I already put 4 hours into it. I'm having a hard time typing because my fingers are beat. It's gonna be hell writing tomorrow but worth it.

Well I went and grabbed this today, after a couple arcade mode playthroughs and some training and mission mode screwing about I think I like it.

Most of my fighting game fan friends are all into super street fighter 4 so when 1 of them in particular decided to have a go with the game he hated it within 2 stages, he kept trying to play it like street fighter 4 and not only does that not work , it becomes a chore to do anything and you lose badly and quickly.

That was NOT my experience though, I managed to pick it up and play through without too much trouble at all. In fact by the time I'd taken it home and played it a bit on my own I successfully finished off an arcade mode without continuing even on galactus... on easy mode. I didn't say I was GOOD just that I was enjoying it so far.

Didn't try to play it online or do anything special beyond some messing about so I can't exactly give a final verdict on it yet but I'm happy I bought it so far.

Buktooth's Chun-Li is a monster.

But his Doom. Holy fuck his Doom is fucking incredible. I'm scared just watching these Doom combos.

Holy shit, I must play Doom now. Not like I wasn't before but fuuuuuuuuck this looks incredible.

It's amazing how much more hyped for the game I am now than I was on just the pre-release streams and videos, and I was dumb fucking hyped for this game at that point.

Internet has been out, as per usual but I've played about 10 games online. I'm thinking of making a second team of Dante/Iron Man/Chun-Li in addition to my Iron Man/Dante/Wesker team. Chun is much easier for me to play as than Wesker and not nearly as creepy.

I didn't even know Doom could do some of this shit...

i've played at least 70 online matches and have not had one game that i would consider "disgustingly bad". most have been awesome actually. i know this doesn't mean shit to you but there has to be some explanation

p.s. i do have verizon fios which is 15mb/sec dl
I'm playing against the exact same people I play against in BlazBlue (people who live in my city) and the games are not at all laggy in that whereas they are nearly unplayable in MvC3.

It's probably fine just not optimized for day one like most major releases WOW included.
There is no excuse for bad P2P.

Is the damage setting on Low on the Team Khaos stream? Taking combos like crazy without anyone getting KO'd.

Looks like they are playing on default damage(medium), and there are still quite a few time outs, maybe this is one reason why damage output is so high.

Nah, it's on default. That's scaling for you.

You know what it is? I'm so used to seeing the Sentinal/Arthur streams pre-release that these Wesker/Zero/Chun-Li/Doom combo heavy matches are messing with my head. It definitely WAS the scaling.

I'm sure it will be fine eventually perhaps even withough patching. SSFIV and SFIV were a mess for the first week or so just like most other games at launch. Not an excuse just something that I've come to accept.

All jokes and stereotypes on stream. I feel equal parts humored and "black people stop embarrasing me" right now. :lol

Tangent - Wesker is too fucking gully.

Edit - wow epic typo there. xD

No spectating is just as bad as I expected. Just playing today with 2 friends, the lobbies are already dying out within an hour or so of playing, just gets too boring for someone and I'm not usually able to just 1v1 someone for a very long time. A lot of my other friends online seem to have not even known about it, which makes it worse.

wow this game is tons of fun. I haven't been good at fighters for years but this is a blast even button mashing online. Helps that the graphics are beautiful
