DP can be so many things. Dark Phoenix, Deadpool, Dragon Punch.
Personally, I usually use srk for the motion.

I was having some good lab time yesterday, and actually won some matches in random ranked matches, but after watching Justin beast on that archived stream, I suddenly felt so very small. There is much training ahead still.

Akuma's j. tatsu loop is the first true infinite discovered in MvC3. It doesn't use meter, or X-factor and can be performed indefinitely against about 12 characters. In training mode it reaches 999-hits vs the on-point character, in a real match gets around 160-hits vs a full health Sent. It wastes quite a lot of time after damage scaling kicks in and pretty much guarantees 5 stocks at character KO.

UPDATE: To anyone who thinks this stuff is broken. You've seen nothing yet. Absolutely nothing. I mean, I can't properly convey how little you've seen yet, seriously. Nothing at all.

I keep messing with the controls. I now put A2 next to H

A B C A2
S A1 A2

this lets me hit C+A2 easier so I can combo with assist characters.

WTF is the point of damage scaling if you don't scale fast enough. Also if everyone has 100 percents then its also pointless. You can scale hitstun and damage all you want and characters will still be dead infinites or not.
 
I really suck at this game.

I tried playing online and when my opponent does a combo on me i'm basically dead.

Anyway to break out of combos?
 
Okay after a while all I have to say is ..DAYUM.

It might not be so charming in Mission Mode, but once you step into Arcade etc... Wowser.

Can't find the guide in the UK. I can only import it through Amazon for £28. I don't think it's that good somehow..

Didn't see anyone reply to this, so I'll just clear up that Seth is on the record saying every DLC character will have their own story mode endings, mission mode and everything every other character has.
 
The gamma crush in the video seems fine to me. The akuma infinite on the other hand yikes. You could catch someone in that and due to the scaling it takes forever to kill them and you can force a timeout way before the match's time is up. Basically you can lame someone out.

Even the top players get smacked around with combos.

I think its 100%. I remember pulling that off on Ploid when his last character was at 100%. We laughed, but then salt started spitting out from my AIM screen from his username.
 
Not even the week and people have already broken the game damn. That Hulk triple KO was too funny. The Akuma infinite is nuts.

Also Spencer seems really good.

EDIT: The original tracks in the game sound great, and the credits theme (near the end) reminds me of an actual Marvel movie intro. The character select theme in Arcade mode beats out everything (dunno if its the same in online or versus yet), sounds like something you'd hear back in the day at the arcade.
