I have a lot of trouble with down moves that instantly cancel into srks.

Yeah, without the SF df.df srk shortcut, it's a bitch.
I also find myself getting into trouble with cancelling into f.H from d.H -- I either end up with a qcf.H attack or a throw (or the actual intended f.H).

Sorry guys, I just don't get why everyone likes this game.

There's no story. Sorry, but in this day and age I expect solid storytelling with amazing dialog, characters, character development, and hollywood production values. Seriously, the story starts off awesome in the comic, and then that's it! How can a game released in 2010 not have a good story!

Secondly, the game is too short. Granted, Galactus took an extra 30 minutes of gameplay, but after you win it's game over. I am in shock that a 60$ game doesn't have at least 20 hours of good single player campaign.

Finally, I just don't get it. My character only has about 10 moves counting supers. After seeing them all, what is the point? Watching the same moves over and over gets so boring. It would be like if in Halo you just ran around shooting the same enemies over and over and over. IT would get boring quick.

Overall I give it a 3.2 out of 10. Also the graphics and sound could have been better.

yeah, but I'm talking about goiing from a crouching state to hit with the webswing. sometimes I accidentally input a qcf input instead of just f. h.

I just found titles like Two Worlds to have better gameplay. I love fun, I am super not boring, that's why I prefer solid gun play and an advanced lighting system in my games. Is there something wrong with that? I love you.

Horribly obvious troll is horribly obvious

Been in the lab long enough, time to go back online and try some new shit out. I'll be online a lot tonight. I'm on the GAF MVC3 tag on XBL.

It was a horrible attempt, but it actually got someone which is sad.

It's more of a bad joke post, and a really, really poorly executed troll. The fact it worked on both accounts means there's some real bottom tier people around here.

Sent u a fr. Let's play.

The thing is, are you really at the point where all other aspects of your game are solid, but you are losing out due to the extra 200,000 damage that you would get from way more difficult combos? Unless you are tournament level I'm guessing that is probably not the case. It sound like you are doing the right thing by just choosing to play the game instead of grinding in training mode. When I played SSFIV after I learned just one or two easy combos for my character I always felt that I learned much more just going online and figuring out matchups, tendencies of other players and how to actually perform those easy combos under real game pressure. I'm sure that at some point you would need to hit the lab to really get better, but I was never anywhere near that point myself.

No, I'm obviously not even close to that point, like you say. That's part of my realization I guess, and I should probably focus on fundamentals and one or two easy, comfortable combos for each character.

Speaking of Mission Mode...

has anyone finished level 10 Wolverine? I'm having trouble after landing from the air combo and calling in Hulk. Basically, by the time I land after the air combo, the dummy has already bounced. Even when calling Hulk in as soon as possible, it's too late for his attack to hit before the dummy wakes up and the combo ends.

Is there a way to make a character land faster after an air combo? this fraction of a second is the difference between me finishing level 10 and me wasting another 2 hours on it. I'm so good at the combo, I can do it in my sleep now. But nothing I've found can get Wolverine to the ground soon enough to make it all one big combo instead of 2 smaller combos.

help?

What's the sub-text in that Cross counter video with Marn and Mike Ross? What's the deal with Justin Wong, Marn, and EG? I'd love to know, thanks

Marn was the first person signed by EG and according to what Marn said in that Q&A they basically just used him to get Justin and Ricky (all three left Empire Arcadia for EG).

And Marn was not getting paid or getting paid only a tiny bit.

man, once i customized the controls to my TE stick the way i like, playing it is a lot of fun. really hate the default controls. they were made for pads, imo.

How do I go about closing distance on someone? Typically this is how I end up getting bodied. That and my lack of blocking of course.

The default controls are made for pad because that's what most people are using. Type B is made for MadCatz sticks.
