He was just doing his air grab, and since you can do 3 air specials before falling he was doing that instead of falling into his beam.
 
My post kind of got lost in the shuffle of the stream chat. Anybody have any tips?

Morrigan is good against Sent. Jumping S hits multiple times and is a good way to get through his super armor. Combine it with a low-hitting assist (I think Deadpool has one) and it can be frustrating to defend against. Also, she can crouch under Sent's low beams and her airdash can cover a longer distance if you hold the command down. Use flight-canceled fireball shenanigans if you need to play run away (from an X-Factor user or whatever).

Some options if they're predictable with their projectiles

Use a hyper on reaction to beat out their projectile
Block and wave dash
Fly
Jump and air dash
Super Jump
Use Deadpool's teleport to get behind them
Use an assist to lock them down enough to close the distance

Bottom line is be patient, don't be afraid to block and take chip while you work your way in.
 
Got the Judge title last night. Guess I use advanced guard a lot.

Mostly just been doing player matches as it seems to be the quickest way to play match after match. Hope a patch is coming sooooooon

Phoenix is top 3,if not top 2. :P I see sentinel and Phoenix as the 2 strongest characters.

Seeing a team with Sentinel and Phoenix is soul crushing. XD
 
I learned a lot from the matches last night...

Still can't get over how hype the Spooky stream was though. Shit made me want to spend all day in the lab today.
 
She has two hypers that are pretty short and lacklustre, and a third that speeds her up.

Her moves are pretty much lifted from her RE5 battle.

Sentinel is so big though, like every infinite will work on him. I don't think he's going to be the best character

I thought her hypers were unfinished and that's why the seemed so weak, assuming that her moveset and VA will updated when the patch goes live to use the DLC characters.
 
Man, I wanted to catch a five in the middle of the Sp00ky stream and wake up to continue watch, but then I ended up missing all of the Iplaywinner stream & WNF stream...

I did finish watching the Sp00ky archive though, shit was hype though!
 
Seems everyone's strongest team online is Dante and Sentinel, with the third switching off between Storm, Phoenix, or Trish.

I've grown to hate all these chars, and vow to not get good with them.

Delayed Hyper Cancel

Basically it's cancelling your Hyper with one of your assist's Hypers once yours has started (You can do it anytime!)

BTW we'll have to play sometime man. Shouldn't be too much lag.

Oh her RE5 battle, I'm going to take it that we aren't going to get any zombie assists in this game ;;.

I hope they at least give her a classic recolor.
 
Can i get a wnf recap? I turned it off because i was tired of seeing those video clips/gifs every 10 seconds.

Thanks, guys. I appreciate it. I just remembered that the last Wednesday Fight Night was posted on Youtube with great quality, so I was hoping for something similar this week.

Anyone have any tips for the Just Cancel timing on the Crazy Dance for Dante? I can't seem to get it consistently after the Jet Stream.
 
Yeah he did, dominated pretty well. He said he was going to try to play a new team every week which is ridiculous lol. Also, new OT soon guys, good work. :P 2000ish posts to go!
 
Man, just when I was starting to get a little down on the game, I just hit a perfect match. Just ran into some random fellow scrub in a player match and we were just about at the exact same skill level. His Chris / Chun / Iron Man team took it over my Trish / Dorm / Hulk crew 3-2 but just about every match came down to the wire or just a pixel of two of health.

This game really does get quite strategic when you are in close skill matches like this. Every last bit of red health, every bar of meter, and every inch of screen real estate matters. This game really nails it when everything clicks right.
