DLC purchases are only based on if that particular person wants to play that character, so including the most popular characters (which polls help determine) is in their best interest.

Yeah that shit is too advanced for me. My execution sucks most of the time. I tried to do an extended version of the #2 combo that I posted, but kept fucking it up. So I ended up with that simple hyper combo version.Threi said:

To add to the current discussion, I need to know prices before I can consider caring who Capcom decides to add. I'm not in love enough to throw my money at Capcom just for the hell of it.
And, I'd really love to see more (free*) colors before more people. Four colors is shameful. I know it's partly because of Marvel's inclusion, but still, four isn't enough.
I suck really badly at this game. Kadey's tournament won't see me making it too far, as things stand now. My execution is garbage and I can't block. Both of these are fatal flaws. I know how to fix these, but losing in the meantime definitely isn't a pleasant feeling.
I don't know my team that well, and I'm terrible at making them work together, so that's something else I'm going to focus on. I want to learn DP, too, but I'd prefer to have my main team solid first, so maybe in a few weeks/months.
To the people that have been kicking my butt in the chat, I appreciate you putting up with my poor playing. I'll try to come back a little better next time I hop on.

All the Darkstalkers talk in here has made me go look up some of the characters folks are asking about beyond the ones I know and as a result I found out there's a Darkstalkers anime... Is it any good? :lol
Also, Jedah, Demitri & Q-Bee were my original picks for extra DS characters, but since none of them made top 20, I threw my final vote after X & Strider in for Bass.EXE. The Megaman franchise is my Capcom addiction, sorry! Gene and Vergil making top 5 would also be cool.

Haha, went back into Virtua Fighter 5 for a few matches (I play every few weeks to keep my skills up, and cause I love it) and daaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn it felt slow. LOL
I'm really loving how I'm uncovering more and more combos in this game as I factor in more specials, and OTG moves and assists and Hypers. A lot deeper than I ever gave the series credit for I think.
Dante, Wolverine and Morrigan chew through people. I'm 15-1 since I finalized that team.
Working on Trish, Deadpool and Iron Man is developing into a nice secondary team too.
Trish and Dante are easily my favorite characters though.

After a long week, finally started online playing today. 4 ranked matches and 100% Win rate.. so far so good...
Had an awesome match where my last character, Spencer, had low health vs Wolverine & Dante.. foolishly, he sent out his Dante assist, missed me completely and I didn't think he was expecting my BIONIC AAAARRRMM! to go through the assist and KO both Dante and Wolverine in one go!! With 4 seconds to go on the clock as well.. It was fricking awesome!
As for my best characters, Spencer has been my fave, mainly because im used to his Hit & Run kind of tactics and hopefully catch them off guard. Other characters that I have been doing good with include X-23, Trish and Wesker. Really need to start training with Ammy, Zero and She-Hulk.. want to get good with them.
So.. after a week with this game, im happy with it , much tighter in balance than MvC2 (of course, Sentinel is big exception) and the X-factor feature does lead to interesting come backs.. so im not going to complain about it too much.. Great game, well worth the wait!

I'm tired of my basic Wesker OTG assist into Super combo that I have with Joe so I'm learning some more things. One thing as a Joe player is that I've never utilized Groovy Uppercut to my advantage. To all the Joe players out there (I know you guys exist, damn it), GROOVY UPPERCUT is your friend.

@Kaijima: I have to agree, especially about the movie-game trend and how it benefits from shallow criticism.
Actually I think it is more of a matter of being experienced than being outright good(the former causes you to be the latter). I would be very surprised if the typical reviewer had played anything more than SF4 and MvC3... maybe Blazblue, in the last 5 years. I would be even more surprised if they ever came to deeply understand the systems in any one of them. (They might have never had the time really, jumping game to game. Having to play so many forgettable and bad games ever year might even make you dumb!)
EDIT: I think Dr. Strange and Gene would make great characters(great movesets), fanboyism for their comics and games aside. That is what is most important to me when it comes to adding characters. So naturally characters like Machine Man, Squirrel Girl, and Ghost Rider also appeal to me.
