Marvel vs. Capcom 4 not in development

Old tweets are old.

MarlinPie said the game was in development and that it'd be revealed soon before quickly deleting the tweet. A few other players have basically choose not to answer when asked about it. The game is being made, guys. Wait for Capcom Cup.
pretty sure marlinpie said the same crap years ago.

You dream too small my friend...KAMEN RIDER AND SUPER SENTAI IN A TAG GAME FIGHTER BY CAPCOM!

That is the true final dream of Capcom vs Toei prayers. God I can already imagine a cover with Ryu and Kamen Rider Ichigo staring each other down...Big One vs Viewtiful Joe...Ruby Heart vs Gokaiger Red...Kamen Rider Decade vs anyone.

Aerial Raves and Baroque were superior anyhow.
TVC2...please lord let it happen at some point. At least a TVC:uas HD remake with decent online on other consoles/pc or something!

You mean crossover air raid not aerial raves. Aerial Raves are used in place of Air combos in Japanese versions of the versus games.

TvC2 isn't happening ever sadly.
But you know what could happen?

Asura + Dante + Gintoki on the same team, aka. the three white haired weirdos, beating Naruto.

A CVS2 HD would be interesting solely to see if they patch out roll cancelling or not... it would be such a different game without it.

I think removing roll canceling would work a lot like when capcom removed crouch cancel in zero 3 upper.

The top tier would become even more dominant and the mid/lower tiers even more useless

Would be nice but after Marvel 3 I'm not as excited for this series as I once was. That being said I would probably buy a ps4 remaster/port.

Honestly there doesn't need to be one at all.

But, they should bring back Marvel Super Heroes. I don't see Marvel being interested in another VS Capcom game, but definitely see them being down for a fighting game that contained all their heroes and villains so they could push their upcoming movies and such.

Well that's a shame...

Does Capcom even develop games anymore?

So many amazing titles, each gone by the wayside

Yes.

Released this year:

SFV
Umbrella Corps
Ace Attorney 6
Monster Hunter Stories
Sengoku Basara: Sanada Yukimura-den (JP-only)
Toraware no Palm (JP-only, mobile. Included because it's a new IP and internally developed)
Monster Hunter Frontier Z (JP-only)
Breath of Fire 6 :(
Remasters: Dragon's Dogma PC, RE0 HD. Dead Rising 1-2 + OtR

Upcoming:

Dead Rising 4
RE7
SFV Season 2
Monster Hunter XX
Dai Gyakuten Saiban 2
Resident Evil 2 Remake
Unknown Capcom Vancouver game (possibly VR)
A number of mobile games based on legacy IPs, including Mega Man.

Their releases are meagre in number compared to the other big JP publishers though.

I wonder whatever happened to Deep Down? It was rumored to be a PS4 Pro launch title... but that turned out to not be the case. It's a shame they sunk all that R&D into a new engine and have yet to release a single game on it...

Hard to say. I'd say it was dead, if we hadn't seen small glimpses of it here and there in company videos and various business reports. The RE Engine is based on MT Framework, so it's possible they're using Panta Rhei's tech in other ways.

If we don't see it at PSX or throughout 2017, then Deep Down is definitely dead and buried, pun slightly indeed. Same with Panta Rhei if it's not being used for any major titles. The definite nail in the coffin for it outside of Deep Down will be if DMC5 is announced and it's not on Panta Rhei. RE7 you could excuse with the whole VR thing, since RE Engine was developed with VR in mind.

Meanwhile you can use Demul for p2p online play

You can also use PCSX2. Both are methods I've used before :P

Both are riddled with desync issues, the netcode isn't the best and it's a real pain to get anyone to go through all that trouble to play the game.

I think we all need to take a step back and realize that MvC3 was essentially a result of MvC2's good sales on the Xbox Live Arcade and PSN. Without those sales Capcom probably would have never made MvC3 so while MvC3 did okay overall, it didn't match Capcom's expectations which leads me to believe that MvC4 is a very unlikely possibility. It's possible but I doubt we'll see another entry in the series anytime soon.

I just hope Capcom is making a flashy fighter, doesn't matter what it is but please give us something more exciting and more fast paced than SF V.

You also have to consider how big Marvel is as a brand now. And with Marvel starting to have their change of heart concerning the Fox characters in the comics & in merchandise, now would be a great time for Capcom to enter negotiations (if Marvel truly is dialing it back on the restrictions, next year).

I thought Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 was already in the development when they released those games on PSN and XBLA so basically it was just PR talks, right?

Just one UMvC3 balance patch, that's all I need. Just removing TAC infinites (which made the game boring to watch and limited team structure) would be a boon.

Shonen Jump vs CAPCOM

All over my body

This would be soo golk :(

But it looks like Jump stuff usually comes from Namco Bandai. They probably have some big tie up with them.

Which is a shame because Jump vs Capcom could sell just as much as MvC if not more , given how popular DragonBall and Naruto games sell.

Just make a fighting game with Capcom-only characters, then. Put a .vs all over-the-top with Batsu, Date Masamune, Asura, Jack Krauser, Leon S. Kennedy, Strider, and i'll buy it.

Or what about Sentai .vs Capcom

God, I need Capcom's Jotaro back in a fighting game. I'd also try to finish every match with Jotaro + Kenshiro ORAORAORAORAATATATATATATA tag supers.
