The ??? symbol is Doctor Strange.

haha wow, i didn't even know dr. strange had a logo. it's kinda awful for representing him without knowing the character but i guess it's hard to think of a good one for him too given the eye of agamotto is just a big ol eye

also that's real weird that the guardians symbol has the nova corps starburst in it.

it's also used to represent kate bishop hawkeye, who doesn't have the mask. his old logo used to be the mask before the matt fraction run (i think?)
the new logo is usually either the arrow or a bullseye which is kinda weird considering there's, yknow, a dude named bullseye who also has a bullseye as his logo

Moon Girl & Devil Dinosaur vs. Rathalos - This fight practically writes itself. Have it take place on a stage that combines the Savage Land with MH4's Ancestral Steppes for maximum effect.

Rocket Raccoon vs. Prowler Felyne (Monster Hunter) - Ditto.

The Seneschal (Dragon's Dogma) vs. Doctor Strange - Sorcerer Supreme vs. An Arisen That Became The Guardian of Their World...that'd have to be something special. (Besides, I'm trying to think of a wizard-like being on the Capcom side that could be Strange's rival, and besides Tessa, I'm blanking out.)

Like realistically the first DLC pack should be much like SFV and be fan favorites. Easier to sell those for the first pack and let's you incorporate more new faces into the base game which depending on who they are might be harder to sell.

I just realized that the upwards super move hadouken Ryu uses is Shinkuu Hadouken, not Shin Hadouken (which can't actually be angled that high). Its beam is so thin compared to MvC3's Shinkuu Hadouken, which probably goes along the game being less crazy.

MvC3 didn't even have a rival system. Those CGI trailer pairings were meaningless.

In MvC3, Ryu is fighting Wolverine in the menu, but he's fighting Iron Man on the box art and Nova in the UMvC3 opening. Dante's fighting Deadpool in the MvC3 menu and Ghost Rider in the UMvC3 opening. None of it matters.

Oh yeah I forgot that Deadpool might be DLC. I guess if Blade makes it in then that's fine for a rival. Ghost Rider was cool too.

Though I am not sure rivals would even factor in for Infinite. They revealed Morrigan and Cao together and they are not rivals.

If we do see themed rivals, I could see something like:

Leon/Chris vs. Hawkeye

Jill//Regina/Chun-Li vs. Black Widow

Dante vs. Blade

Haggar vs. Hulk

Gene vs. Iron Fist

Tangential to that, I wonder how many new characters we're actually going to see on the Capcom side. Other than X and Gene I can't think of too many highly requested "needs to be in" characters that weren't in MvC3, and with the roster probably being early-mid 30s then there's gonna be some sacrifices, at least for DLC.

Marvel I actually have pretty high hopes about now that there's a guarantee we won't see X-Men in the base game. Newcomers like Ms. Marvel, Squirrel Girl and Black Panther will be pretty sweet.

That definitely one thing I really want to see. Which is why I'm very hopeful for the story mode. I want these two universes to really play off each other. Which they have rarely done in the last few games imo.

I really hope that they are going to keep intro dialogues subtitles in MVC:I. I'm glad that they included subtitles for intro dialogues in UMVC3. I really hope their dialogues would be even much better in MVC:I.

She has already made an appearance in MSH, MSH vs. SF, and the original MvC. There is already a history here. Plus, she has this great destiny (that could either turn out good or bad for everyone but her) and is supposedly full of an immense power (...kind of sounds like a certain X-Men, doesn't it?).

She can pretty much have any moves they want, since she doesn't have a defined one, yet. And if the chose they can age her (like they did in that one release of Darkstalkers 3).

You know, someone was saying earlier how the trailer for Infinite was kinda meh compared to 3's. I wonder if it's because for 3 they actually got an experienced animation studio (Polygon) and here it's just less experienced CG artists at Capcom.
