If you're talking about the Eddie Brock Venom who was in MVC1&2, I'd argue there's a bit more hope for him here then there was back in the MVC3 era. Marvel excluded him from that game because in the comics, Eddie didn't have the Venom symbiote with him anymore by that point.

Technically, he still doesn't, but on the bright side, he actually has made some appearances in recent Marvel games, such as Contest of Champions. It's possible Marvel might of gotten less strict in that regard.

Mysterio is one character I've wanted well before Marvel 3. He would look very cool in 3D. The orb on his head reflecting everything around him, and the illusion casting--it would be quite the spectacle.

It would definitely help Marvel stick out amongst the fighters and stick to the comic looks. I'll be sad if we stick with that realistic look, I know it'll look better but man mahvel 3 really popped.

I think Trucy Wright would make a great, creative addition with her magic tricks and Mr. Hat (plus it could mirror Phoenix Wright, with an Apollo-cameo special), but that's more far down the line / makes more sense as a late addition to MvC3. For Street Fighter, I always felt like Gill would make a good fit in the same way Viper did, and now I think the same for Rashid. I've always wanted Dr. Wily and Bass.EXE (way more than Megaman, anyway). "Arisen" and "Monster Hunter"/Felyne give you a huge pool of interesting moves and mechanics to incorporate into a character, especially if you throw in a weapon/class move. In MvC3 terms, bringing Regina would have been a cool way to bring back MvC2 Jill, but since there's a whole new slate, they could just have any RE character do that. Since this isn't MvC3, I hope they shake up Darkstalkers reps a little. People want Ryu from Breath of Fire, but Nina would be a cleaner pick and she's just as representative given she is in every single game in some form (plus magic characters are/were cool in MvC3). And Gene from God Hand is a "pay any amount of money for DLC" character for me.

Don't really care about the Marvel side anymore (especially if it is MCU focused). I guess someone like Machine Man would be cool, but more unlikely now than during the MvC3 era. I think characters like Black Bolt and Groot make more sense in a AntMan/Hawkeye position than full characters (for Medusa and Rocket Raccoon, respectively, who make sense to me as full blown characters).

Oh, one idea I had way back when fan-fiction about MvC3 rosters was viable was a Squirrel Girl special where Thanos would jump in with the Infinity Gauntlet, obliterate the opponent only for SG to then casually kick him so hard he gets Team Rocket'd and for the Infinity Gauntlet to fall in her hands which she immediately carelessly tosses it away. Guess that wouldn't really fit with the way MCU is heading lol. Plus Squirrel Girl is lame by now.

Err... they just revealed the game with an initial 1.5 minute trailer, and you think they're already going to talk about DLC? Wait till it's closer to release.

That said, Capcom with SF5 and more importantly, Marvel having mostly on-going games that are considered ever-expanding platforms, it's pretty much guaranteed that MvCI will have DLC, and possibly will be supported for years to come.

As far as Spider-Man Homecoming (the one that's in the MCU) is concerned, Vulture's going to be the primary villain.

I think that's the best compromise. People who really want them can have them that way and for the people that were already fine with the base roster, it's an added bonus.

EDIT: I did mean Vulture instead of Lizard. Seeing Michael Keaton play Lizard would be pretty awesome though.

I dunno, man. X got in because he was the most requested character that didn't get into Ultimate. Gene was the other most popular Capcom character that also didn't make it. I'd be surprised if he wasn't at least on their radar.

I feel like if we get venom he could be changed a lot from his previous games. He had a lot of transformations and at least for the last game (similar to darkstalkers) that's one of the difficulties of 3d.
