Fair enough, but is it that easy to animate a character with 6 arms in fighting games? I heard otherwise.
Spiral vs Asura is what to see. Even if it has to be DLC.
Asura has a two armed form he'd probably use most of the time outside of his super where he'd 6 arm. He's also been in a 2d fighter against Akuma in that dlc so it's clearly not him.
If its not a darkstalker its gotta be another sprite only character who hasn't appeared in 3d before.
I do think animation on 3D models, is why we don't get cool idle animations anymore.

Oh, totally. It's just a fun observation that the popular ones, the 2s, Alpha 2 and Alpha 3, and 4 all have Blanka in them. I doubt he's a direct reason to, as you said, he's not that popular to play as. If anything he's more of a measuring stick. If your Street Fighter game is too serious to include Blanka, you need to stop and reconsider. Blanka is the casual fanbase's canary.
Was Blanka in any of the versus games? I have to admit, I'd love to see what a Mahvel Blanka would be like. No holding back, go all out with him. I see his biggest problem being that there's already a big green monster in the game and if the choice comes down to Hulk or Blanka... Blanka loses.
Still say that move gets changed entirely if he even still has it.
I don't think he was playable in any of the Vs. games.

Other then midnight bliss what exactly from demitiri's moveset would be hard to animate? I also think it's be more along the lines of "I can't believe Marvel is letting that happen".
Edit: also you could very easily change midnight bliss to just bee a blood suck move and not a change into a girl move.
A quick lookup reveals... No! He hasn't, not even X-Men vs. Street Fighter.
I totally want to see what a Mahvel Blanka could do now. Blanka Ball rebounding off the walls, electricity turning into a pillar... Mid-air Blanka Balls as part of an air combo, too. Heck, if Wolveine is MIA, give Blanka Weapon X as a super, only as lightning.
*sigh* Now I want Blanka in the game. I totally played myself there.
An odd missed opportunity on Marvel & Capcom's part.
On a similar note of SF characters that would be neat in Mahvel, I always thought Seth would be a fun choice since I could imagine his moveset would fit Mahvel gameplay very well.
Too bad everyone remembers his bullshit boss AI and nobody likes him lol
That's the thing, Seth's not exactly well-liked. If you want an almost-naked dude in Mahvel, Urien or Gill are your best bets.

I don't think there's any events going on next month. Though IF MvCI is getting a Switch port, Capcom could do a reveal at the Switch Event on January 12th.
Capcom/Marvel could also just have character reveal trailers on their youtube page at any point
Marvel Entertainment put up whatever MvCI footage was shown during PSX & the Capcom Cup ASAP, so I'm sure they'll put up future trailers as soon as they're revealed. Not sure about if they'd do random reveals though, but I think such reveals did happen during the MvC3 hype train.
The reveals of Zero, She-Hulk, C. Viper, Storm, Haggar, Phoenix, Akuma, Taskmaster, Hsien-Ko, and Sentinel weren’t tied to events. Their trailers just showed up online.
After playing him a little in SFV, I would like Urien, actually. He's surprisingly fun to play, and I'm no fan of charge characters so that's a huge compliment to him. Aegis Reflector in a versus game would both be absolutely disgusting and not really that special at the same time.
I don't want too many Street Fighter characters, though. Ryu, and Akuma seem like the only really mandatory ones to me. Nothing against Chun-Li... she was just not that good in MvC3. Her skillset is very good in a footsie heavy game, which isn't really the focus in Mahvel. On the other hand, if any series should be over-represented, Street Fighter should be the one.
That and Mega Man. I want X, Roll, Sigma, and either Tron Bonne or MMZ Zero for that. Already got X, and Sigma seems likely. As for Roll, I want TvC Roll to be exact. She was fun to play. Literally mopping the floor with the opponent. Then using the opening to heal back a quarter of her health. Fighting game characters with heal moves... there should be a law against that. (And then if you were really ugly, you DHC'd Roll's heal move into Zero so he'd jump in and intercept the energy pellet as it fell, healing HIM for 25% instead. Because Zero is an Energy Pellet compatible robot.)
So nobodies will get random reveals.
I would love to see TvC Roll as DLC. I don't think she's making the base roster, though.

Yeah, I'd buy her as DLC easily. She's one of my favorite fighting game characters to play ever. Plus, she totally cheated on the credits minigame since she could fly on her broom like a witch. Because that's a thing a house-holding robot can do.
Also, if she's in, she needs to bring along her theme song.
Hard to animate sounds to me more like a character with a weird body structure and limbs, e.g. a monstrous creature like Rathalos or something out of Resident Evil, or one of the weirder-animated Darkstalkers, rather than something as "basic" as 6 arms that Asura has.
Ryce's hint could be any number of characters from Capcom....

That may be the problem with this game going for more of an MCU-esque look.
Ghost can't possess people, but he can hijack tech.
I'd certainly be up for him as playable.

Maybe, but the first character shown was X. X is pretty anime himself. And as the very first thing shown, he got to set the tone. Along with Ryu and Morrigan, it hints that Capcom is going to go for that style. Marvel side is closer to MCU and American comics style, as expected.
It would be a fun contrast if Capcom went for the more anime styled characters, while Marvel kept it more realistic. Both, of course, having outliers with Resident Evil characters looking more realistic from Capcom and oddballs like MODOK or Shuma-Gorath weirding it up for Marvel.

I'm also thinking of characters that could be good for the story. Jedah/Pyron would definitely be nice to have on that.
Unless they do some censoring. Although, obviously not on the same level, but with Nemesis having that greenish blood of his. I just would really love to see Jedah to be honest.
Pyron would fit in very nicely, for sure. Seeing him get crazy with his moveset in a Vs. setting would be amazing to see.
Donovan is another favorite of mine, but I don't exactly care to see him join up. Although it would be great to see a 3D model for him.
That's no excuse, when we had the many shotos. Especially for SFV, when even Akuma/Ken/Ryu or Guile/Charlie are different from each other.

Want to chime in my support for Roll as well. I used the same trick you mentioned except with Casshan instead of Zero. Agreed about her theme, even if they threw in the TvC version of her English theme (hey it's not's like it doesn't have Marvel precedence), I'd be happy.
Eh, you could've said the same for Tron in 3 and she made it. Speaking of Roll and the bathhouse, I really hope that going 2v2 again might free up system resources enough to get some neat easter eggs again. Things like the MvC Bathhouse, TvC's China stage, little quirks with various supers in TvC. Really got nothing like that in MvC3.

Man, I know no one ever says she should get in due to being based on Morrigan, but Lilith is fun to play, and does have different moves.
