There's just too much about him steeped in being viscerally gory and creepy that I don't think he could fit. Raptor is freaky but he's still a largely comedic character. There's like one move you'd have to get rid to make him work.

The only really problematic thing is the Cyclops situation. Fair enough, though I wouldn't be opposed to Wally getting his own name to set himself apart from Barry, but that's another debate for another day. Regardless, I have nothing but respect for Miles & Kamala. I wasn't too big on Sam until recently.

Yeah, it's pretty bad for MVC3 since we only have Wesker, then they finally add Firebrand, Vergil and Nemesis to the roster in UMVC3.

Psssh, BassForever pls. It's one of most obvious alternate costume for characters, unless they decided to go with Binary form.

I'm one of those biggest advocate for Ms. Marvel (Kamala Khan) to be in MVC:I. She's one of few reasons why I really hope that they wouldn't based the roster on MCU.

Squirrel Girl, She-Hulk, Captain Marvel and Ms. Marvel really need to be in this game, along with Scarlet Witch and Storm.

You know, I mostly ignored Lord Raptor throughout my life. I just always thought he looked annoying and stupid. Well, after the recent talk about him, I decided to give him a try in Darkstalkers 3. The character ended up being a lot more fun than I expected.

Deadpool probably won't happen until DLC at best (Fox ban & whatnot), and Spawn isn't even Marvel (though he has a shot at being a guest character in Injustice 2). Ghost Rider is a possibility, though.

I just saw the Max video which was recently uploaded. I saw some hints of Capcom character by Ryce but that's all.

Honestly roster speculation doesn't interest me that much so I just glance through this thread quickly, I just want mechanics/controls/modes information.

Firebrand is a weirdo case who was made even weirder thanks to localization.
The "species" of demon he belongs to is called the Red Arremers (though some versions of the English GnG games called them Red Blazes or Red Devils I believe). The protagonist of the Gargoyle's Quest games (and Demon's Crest is essentially GQ3 for all intents and purposes) is also named Red Arremer. In fact, in Japan the GQ games are called "Red Arremer".
t's never exactly specified whether the enemy in the GnG games is the same Arremer appearing multiple times or if it's several, however, the implication is that the protagonist of the GQ games is a member of that particular species, much like there's unique Toads called Toad.
In the English localization of Gargoyle's Quest, Red Arremer was renamed "Firebrand", but in Japan his name is Red Arremer still (even in UMvC3 - if you watch Japanese footage or his Japanese announcement trailer, you'll see his name being displayed as such), and he doesn't utilize any powers from the Gargoyle's Quest games either, only from his appearances in the GnG series, which means that it's not exactly clear if he's supposed to be a generic Arremer or Firebrand.

In his own spin-off games, Firebrand is indeed the hero of the demon world, but it IS the demon world, and especially in Demon's Crest it's a quest for personal gain and power, bringing him closer to being an anti-hero.

That's just an assumption. MvCi has a wildly different demographic from their Lego games etc, and they're not averse to touching on darker subjects (see: TV series). We have no clue what they want or expect for this game. Sure, self decapitation may be out of the question, but the rest is pretty reminiscent of Venom/Blackheart visually if they changed the blood color.
