Did you hate TvC that much? I thought it was pretty great. I thought the Giants were a fun gimmick.

I hated the giants. Big characters should still be part of a team like Sentinel is in Marvel 2 and 3. The gimmick just screws up the meta.
It needs to be relatively balanced if there's to be any longevity.

Ada's got that grapple gun that can make her a Spencer clone and as a result, force Capcom to leave Spencer out of this game; which is doing everyone a favor!
Agreed, would be a complete waste of dev time.
A giant character would defeat the whole point of what this game was designed around. Having less on the screen at once, (presumably) 6 different types of selectable X-Factor styled boosts, and making team composition and 1v1 balance more focused than Marvel 3... what's the point of any of it if there are characters in the game that don't follow the same rules as everyone else? Someone playing as a giant character doesn't have to think about team-building, they hardly even have to think about match-up knowledge, they just have to hope that their opponent isn't familiar with their gimmicks (because let's be honest, the characters themselves are either going to be broken or awful).
Besides all the other mentioned characters, there is the entirety of Tech Romancer, Metal Warriors/Cyberbots characters plus way bigger guys in Monster Hunter. Have you ever heard of Lao Shun Lung or Jhen Mohran, for starters?
(Not to mention big bosses from older games, like Strider mechs and stuff)

You're getting Felicia as a second character, and if the roster is big enough for a third it'll be Hsien-Ko or Jon Talbain. But I wouldn't even get your hopes up about not seeing Felicia, she's the permanent second Darkstalkers character.
I love Felicia's moveset in every game she's in so this is fine by me.
That's what we have something like Heroes and Herald for.
Given that the game is going to be broadcast on ESPN I don't think the naked catgirl is going to get in.
And thank god for that.

Even TVC players in the FGC complained about the giants (unless the player was Yoshi lol). They broke the rules of the game but not in an exciting manner. Plus some teams made them irrelevant so there was no real point after awhile anyhow. Just a waste.
I think as a side mode like Galactus mode you can do it, but when you try to take them serious it just becomes too silly to even try to do them with tournament and online in mind. Heck some folks relied on grab supers and air combos that simply couldn't be used on them anyways. Just too many things in the game didn't work right vs giants to consider them anything but a detriment.
They were different for the sake of being different. There are better ways to do large characters or pay tribute to giant enemies than how TVC handled it.

Have her grow out the fur lol! Felicia full furry. I'm sure no one will be against that.
While that could be something against her inclusion, I'm not sure if that'd be the straw that broke the camel's back. Either way, I feel like we may get a different 2nd Darkstalkers rep this time.

For reals though, I'd be happy with almost any other Darkstalkers rep, assuming we even need another besides Morrigan. The only one I'd fight for is Jedah.
I'd also be happy with Demitri, Talbain, BB Hood, Q. Bee (I always loved the concept). I'd be okay with the rest. Don't care for Anakaris, Lillith, or Rikuo.

I was going to mention a few days ago that the UMVC3 official site (ENG) has underwent changes since November 14th, 2016 (latest date wayback machine has). The characters, videos, and screens pages are either missing or broken entirely. But I couldn't remember if that was pointed out already. They might be updating it for the PS4 rerelease, but it might also be MVCI related.

I would pay dirty money for premium skins (new VA work alongside the model of a completely different but similar character, ie Patriot for Cap, Jane Thor for Thor).
Cheap way to get more characters, and would prefer it to the Smash Bros. style of remixed characters (though that is fun in its own way).

Hauzer was a boss in Red Earth and appeared in Karas' TVC ending, but I don't know if he'd be classified as a villain.

I can imagine them balancing Virgil without laughing their asses off while it was in the process. Yeah let's nerf She-Hulks slide, and Hsienko doesn't need to be able to block during her air walk anymore, Jills level 3 has problems so yeah let's leave that alone, yeah and Virgil for one bar he can have everything.
