Its probably been said, but its really weird how we're getting five Marvel characters and only three Capcom characters. You'd think it would be four and four. Maybe its just a cinematic trailer thing, and there's only going to be three Marvel characters that they actually give details to, but two of the Marvel characters still sort of show up, so you know that they're in.
To that end, outside of Ultron, I'm pretty interested to see if Rocket's been changed. A lot of speculation puts him having a new moveset that involves Groot, but from the looks of things, they may be reusing a lot of assets, so who knows if they'll actually change him.
Incidentally that fake leak with HydraCap possibly being removed for USAgent was so dumb. I wonder if that type of person would have made a fake leak about excluding Spider-Man for Kaine if MvC3 happened during the Superior Spider-Man run.

I'm guessing CG trailer where Ultron has a little stinger to himself and Rocket is in another character's fight. This way you've got, say, Hulk/Chris, Strider/Hawkeye, and Chun-Li/Thor fighting and then Rocket bounces in.
Or maybe we'll get lucky and a fourth character will be revealed.

I'm happy if they're using mvc3 assets as I liked most of the mvc3 cast, especially the Marvel side, and I'd like to see most of them back.
Are we assuming this'll be like SFV and receive regular DLC characters?
I'm excited at the thought of the roster hitting silly numbers by the end of the game's life.

On a more serious note, the fanbase just isn't there for the 10% or so cosmetic spenders to keep the supporting team afloat for making both costumes and free characters. Blizzard can do it because they make bank off lootboxes. Even if you never buy one, dumbfucks like me are spending hundreds of $ on 'em.

Could they? yes.
Will they? no.
While it would be really nice for them to do so. They have no real incentive to do so. Since locking out characters doesn't prevent you from playing as them. I sure wouldn't mind if they did that though and tried to instead focus on costumes and other DLC.

Pls no. No one wants the Roman Reigns of the Marvel universe. I fear that if you say his name enough they might just put him in.
I'd t least be fine with the way Tekken 7 stands to do it. Any veterans will be free of charge, while only new characters would have a price tag.
But Capcom know that they got people who will pay for the likes of Zero and Vergil (again) at the drop of a dime, so what do?

Overwatch gets its DLC money from Loot Boxes. Fighting games can't really do something similar since most people gravitate to one or two characters, whereas a game like Overwatch has people use a wider variety of characters (thus justifying getting costumes for so many characters).

I feel the same way, even if I like chris. Really expected at least 2 newcomers. Ultron is barely even a surprise. Especially if he is indeed nothing more than trailer fuel currently.
Hope so to. That way we can keep discussion going. At least with this upcoming dump, we should expect to see reveals at every major event going forward.
I like the classic Eddie Brock better, but maybe that's asking too much so any Venom is ok.
Eddie is Venom in the comics again so that's the main hurdle to his entry cleared.
