Bad Box Art Megaman is hilarious and we already have one decent long awaited Megaman in the game, so it would be fun if he joined too.

i liked her moveset and design but I would rather have a character from a standalone series that adopts certain aspects of her moveset

Venom I understand. He's always been a very popular character in the spideyverse and spider-man needs a villain. He's a big enough hero to warrant it. However Gambit is quite the surprise. He seems like the silent majority type.

Over all those major marvel characters, I'm shocked that Venom and Gambit's reign has still...not changed since the UMVC3 DLC polls. I honestly thought that Magneto, Wolverine, Psylocke and Doom would be the top 4

I mean they seemed to listen decently for UMVC3. I kinda wish that the DLC for SFV was more done by fan voting. I mean real talk, did anyone ask for a season pass with 1 vet a 5 newcomers? At most it should be like 3 and 3 or something

This is very close to what I had penciled in. Gene, Ms. Marvel and Punisher I think are definitely first wave DLC. Think I had Ant Man as the 3rd Marvel guy, forgot who my 3rd capcom character was

Well, to be honest, the question is which characters would you like to return from MVC2? I'm pretty sure the fans would pick their favorite characters that didn't made in MVC3.

Also, Wolverine, Magneto, and Doom are characters expected to very likely return.
To be fair, Season 1 of SFV were basically some fan favorites. Season 2 had a fan favorite in Akuma and it's kinda good that new characters get in (Kolin only gets by due to technicality...). I'm sure S3 will return to fan favorites, tho.

Even if only a small ammount of people who voted and it's almost a given that it won't be taking in account by the companies, I'm glad that C.C., Jin and Psylocke are in the top postions.
This, that's why some of the other characters are low on the poll.

Pretty much this. Complaints when the game is all former characters that there aren't enough newcomers. Complaints when there are too many newcomers in a season pass and not enough fan faves. Damned if you do, damned if you dont.
Eh, I'm still in the Day 1 camp for Ms. Marvel, same for Ant-Man.

Hope so. She really deserves to move into other media besides comics at this point.

I honestly can't see Reed showing up, but I believe Capcom is good enough to differentiate a character no matter how similar they are. Logan and Laura are both perfect examples of this.

Wouldn't king k rool vs gambit for bigger character be a better point of discussion. Nobody worth taking seriously actually thinks any nintendo villain not named bowser or ganon/dorf is even in the same ballpark as snake from mgs

I mean he's a memorable character that a ton of Nintendo fans grew up with from some of Nintendo's most popular and nostalgic games from what many people still consider to be Nintendo's golden era. Add that to the fact that Smash is notoriously starved for villain representation AND DK representation, and it makes complete sense his fanbase got as big as it did.
He's by no means as big of an overall gaming character compared to Snake, but he's definitely the bigger one to most hardcore Smash/Nintendo fans. They both can coexist though and I'd ideally have both. Sm4sh Deluxe can't come fast enough.
This IS going to end up derailing a non-Smash thread into Smash territory so I'll bring it back to MvC with a tangentially related prompt:
One of the few things I think Playstation All-Stars did right that was the rivalry idea they implemented: Right before the end of each character's Arcade mode, they had a cutscene with their "rival" character, with these rivals often being chosen based on similarities between the two characters or meta references (ex Sly and Drake being rivals due to both being thief/treasure hunter archetypes).
Would you want some kind of rivals idea to be implemented more directly into MvC:I, maybe as a similar sub-boss style fight in Arcade Mode, or is unique pre-fight dialogue enough? If you do want it, which cross-company rivalries would you like to see explored? X vs. Ultron is one I've seen mentioned a few times now.
