Lilith needs to be in this.

Pretty sure SneakersSO said it, and it lines up strongly with Ryce's earlier teasing... we all had it down to a Darkstalkers villain, but he shot me down when I suggested Pyron. We all just kind of dropped it because of EventHubs, and also because we didn't imagine Jedah would make it.
But yeah, Sneakers I believe outright said Jedah would be in, which makes him almost guaranteed to be the Capcom villain Ryce had us speculating over earlier.

I mean, I've love if they released Marvel Origins on PS4, XBO, and PC. I was just mostly talking about Marvel games Capcom made that weren't the fighters.

The biggest takeaway is that several of the series getting variants don't have confirmed characters in the roster, so we may have just gotten a big hint as to which Marvel characters will make it in.
Thus far there's Champions (which I think is Ms. Marvel), Defenders (likely Daredevil), Black Panther, Doctor Strange, Venom, Thanos, Spider-Man, and the Spider-Man/Deadpool series.

I wonder what the covers look like.
Brock!Venom was what I thought to be a pretty good guess, anyway. Not only because Marvel has been much more lenient with that version of the character reappearing in other games in the last few years, he's the one who's a "veteran" in the MvC series, as well.
It may have been a happy coincidence that Capcom pushed for that version of the character at the same time that Marvel was planning to bring him back anyway, for all I know.

Has anyone done a detailed break down of who this might hint at beyond your initial view?
He also has his own, but it's possible he can have two. It's also possible that each variant is unique, ie: Avengers will feature, say, Black WIdow, GotG will be about Star Lord, etc.
EDIT: Oh here's something interesting, the Miles Morales comic, Spider-Man, has a variant alongside AMS and SM/DP.
That also urks me, especially when the Spidey/Deadpool cover may joke about why Deadpool's left out.
We kinda already know thanks to the leakers that the Fox characters are gonna be in 2018, so that rules out Deadpool on Day 1.

Good catch. I think it's more likely the variants will be used for individual characters rather than loading up.
Thor and Loki seems likely.
I don't think each of the covers is necessarily dedicated to a specific character. The Amazing Spider-Man cover could be, say, a Spider-Man vs. Strider Hiryu fight while the Spider-Man cover could be a different artist's interpretation of Spider-Man vs. Ryu or something. Venom has to be on the cover of a Venom comic, though.
That would make sense, given how both Rocket & Groot have variant covers despite the two working together as one in MvCI.

Yeah, I'm thinking Thor and Loki makes the most sense. Wasn't Loki a candidate for MvC3? Or was that just someone speculating in this thread?
Spider-Man is Miles Morales though. Also doesn't this mean that at least one of the Champions has to be in MvC?

If I had to guess:
The Spider-Man family books will show Spider-Man, Venom and Doc Ock (I think it's more likely that Miles is an alt for Spider-Man)
The Guardians of the Galaxy books will be about Star Lord, Rocket and Groot.
Champions will be Ms. Marvel
Defenders will be Daredevil
Mighty Thor and Thor: Generations will be Thor and Loki (notice how the other Generations, Hulk, only has one)
Secret Empire will be Captain America
And if the books are showing off unique characters then I'll guess that Black Widow is on the cover of Avengers since she's the only one without her own book.
It's also pretty likely that each will show a Capcom character fighting them, though by then we'll know everyone in the roster.

If any Champions character were to get in it'd definitely be Ms. Marvel.
I mean, who else is it gonna be, Kid Nova? Miles is already covered thanks to the Spider-Man variant.
We almost got Miles as his own character in UMvC3, so I wouldn't rule out the possibility of Miles as a unique character.

I doubt it. Rocket and Groot are listed separately here but they're part of the same character in the game.

Now all we need is some toy leaks.
None of the Fox characters are getting variant covers, nor the Inhumans. Granted, the Spider-Man/Deadpool book has a variant cover, but not Deadpool's solo book.
