Honestly, if you want to get down to it, Street Fighter is as anime as Tekken or KOF.

I was actually surprised to see a Japanese Skullgirls Arcade cabinet in a video I had watched. I wonder if the game gets serious play there.

I think MVC3 might've been the first game that had a nice following in Japan.
This probably could've been better had MVC3 gotten an Arcade version.
SFXT was ignored pretty quickly there. Japan's SFV's scene is pretty small compared to SF4. Arcade really matters there.

Thanos and Ultron looks so amazing. People (rightfully) diss on the graphics in cinematics but in motion I think it all looks pretty great.
I can't wait to see how Jedah looks and plays.

Same here. If we didn't get BOF character this year then We need to campaigning for any BOF character on Twitter, polls, etc to see if we could convince them put one in.
She goes from beautiful milk chocolate to beautiful dark chocolate.
I really thought we would get either Falcon, Luke Cage, or Black Panther. I feel like this is a recipe for the Tumblr/SJW sphere of the Internet to start calling this game out as racist which could lead to another PR disaster

Don't hold your breath. Imo, the Ui will be updated, but i don't expect a single change on Chun Li's face / animations, etc...

I mean, I can't imagine people who may be interested in finding and playing a game that has BP in it, after seeing the movie, are going to be pleased as punch that in order to play as him in the newest MvC, they have to buy the game PLUS purchase the extra DLC on top to unlock him.
Black Panther should be base roster 100%.
We can hope, but why not show new screens then?

Game System
You will be tagging. A LOT. Both on offense and defense, either to press your offense, to create mixup situations, or to keep a move safe.
The post KO choppiness in the story demo is gone. The story demo is an even older build.
The game is very hectic and fluid. Nova and Ultron have tri-dashes on par with Magneto.
USE. YOUR. INFINITY. STONES.
Double down motions became second nature to me after a couple games.
Every character has a bunch of new normals. Some of the old normals in UMVC3 are command normals now. (Nova's slide, Spencer's j.S, etc.)
Characters can't be chip killed outside of Supers, like SF5.
Throws take away red life like in SFxT.
Didn't get to play every character, but here are the ones that I did get to try and/or see:
Nova
- Dolphin Kick is now a command normal in the air (F + HK).
- Old launcher kick is gone
- Has a tri-dash like Magneto.
- Has a new dive kick. Hits overhead. Heavy version is a fake out into a low.
- Can now do Energy Javelin in the air.
- Speed Tackle is gone. QCB + PP is Power of the Nova Force.
Spencer
- Air Grapple no longer OTGs
- Has new kick normals
- Move list is more or less the same. Still has his overhead.
- New grenade move. Tosses a grenade in the air, it lands and bounces back, then explodes. Good for incoming.
- Command grab is now performed by doing double down + kick. Can tag after command grab for combos.
- Bionic Arm has startup invincibility, but not as much as before.
**PART 2**
Hawkeye
- Zoning is still great.
- Forward Trick Shot is gone
- Upward Trick Shots are done with double down + Punches
- Air Throw xx Gimlet is still a thing.
- Gimlet now causes hard knockdown. Can tag after and continue combos.
- Electric Arrow is still good against projectiles
Thanos
- Oh boy. Balrog and Laura had a baby.
- Slow walk speed.
- Dash Straight causes a wall bounce.
- His projectile is like Laura's on crack. Starts off slow. He can punch it to send it forward, like Impact Palm. INSANE DURABILITY. Saw it eat at least 3 of Zero's projectiles while in Sougenmu.
- Has 4 way teleports.
- Has an air dash
- HITS LIKE A FREIGHT TRAIN LOADED WITH HIGH EXPLOSIVE.
**PART 3**
Captain America
- Still felt more or less the same, outside of his new moves
- Shield Slash is now used for mixups. I did stuff like SS xx Time Stone xx Backflip to cross up
- Didn't get to catch anyone with his parry.
- His DP and Hyper DP are done with a double down motion + Punches

Similarly unbelievable is only four women in the roster, especially with how hard Marvel Entertainment has been pushing the woke l whole "Women of Marvel" thing.
I'm also confident that the DLC's gonna be mostly male so the ratio is only going to get worse.

I can't imagine the comic side of marvel would be. They've been making large pushes for diversity and imo have benefited a lot from it. The new blood has really made for more interesting storylines when they aren't bogged down in tie-in event trash like Civil War 2
But the MCU movie side of marvel that is like 99% of Marvel's current day profits seems to be fine with it I guess.
Sales wise their preachy inclusiveness has done nothing but hurt sales

Link to pretty in depth article on the matter. The problem with low sales isn't "preachy inclusiveness" it's the fact that Marvel's having trouble keeping consistent talent on series and they keep relaunching series or diluting them with cross overs and tie-ins. About half of Marvel's best selling titles are starring women or PoCs, including the relaunched woman versions of Thor, Iron Man, and Wolverine.

In those games, mashing not only added extra damage, but it also extended the animations. For example, Nash's Sonic Break fully mashed allowed him to throw out a bunch of Sonic Booms and kick some as well. It also allowed you to escape out of certain things (Mags' Hyper Grav x Tempest, Iceman frozen throw, etc) as well.

this seems like a fact that people are missing because everyone is just playing the game like it's marvel 3 right now
and I'm really not sold on it. it's a HUGE change in the feel of the game.

I think the exact opposite. They can refine the models, plenty of studios do, but most never go back on their UI decisions, let alone a complete overhaul that people are asking for MvC:I.
It's already leagues ahead of UMvC3's, though. Not like MvC3's was good either, but it was clear.
They did. Combination of Story Demo screens and presumably VS build ones with the new characters.
Idk I kinda liked mashing for damage. It felt really satisfying
Demos are usually based on older builds.
Either way, don't expect all that much to change in 3 months.
