I'm like 90% sure the DLC characters for this season are mostly done.
 
I'm gonna assume some characters go without mention as they'd be given more priority in such things, so I won't list them (example: Wolverine).

Pretty much also the game isnt even out yet and all Season Pass 1 DLC characters arent even officially revealed yet.

That shit is already planned out and the more you want a character the less you gonna get it from Capcpom.

Just give me a game that doesnt look like a shitty mobile game since im not gonna get my X-Mens anyway.

Capcom already confirmed that it's final roster of 30 characters and I already gave people enough time to edit their posts for votes since we should able to know the roster by end of September.

It's nothing wrong with people voting for their characters they wanted to see in. Capcom is more likely to listen to the fans.

Yeah, it's pretty much. as I explained in OP, I think 2018 Character Pass is already decided by now. I didn't really expect our polls to change Capcom's decisions but we are providing them the feedbacks they probably want to hear. We're not miracle makers but at least we would make our efforts to.

The Fox ban supposedly ended October 2016 (Bill Rosemann put up a tweet saying "Marvel Games loves the X-Men" around the time). Come June 2017, Marvel Future Fight, one of the games impacted by the Fox ban, added some of the X-Men. Clearly it's taking a while for the end of said ban to impact the games. MvCI & Lego Marvel 2 in particular got screwed over by this since their base rosters were decided sometime before the ban ended.

X-Men characters are being introduced previously X-Men-less games, after rumblings of the lessening of the "ban". Also when Marvel Heroes got it's contract renewed, only Fantastic Four characters were removed, not X-Men, though Doctor Doom remained.

This fits with early reports that X-Men in MvCI were a done deal, but only as DLC, which would fit with the idea of the 'ban' lifting recently: the base roster was already decided by the time this happened.

That's the problem, the X-Men part of the ban was what was lifted. The unfortunate part is that Marvel doubled down on the Fantastic Four part of the ban very recently. With Ryce saying that both X-Men & Fantastic Four characters are "a done deal" for DLC, it's possible that Capcom negotiated for X-Men/F4 characters as DLC between the time that the X-Men part of the ban was removed & before the F4 part of the ban was amplified.

IMO I still say you shouldn't be forced to put more characters if you don't want. Since it might just turn into scrapping the bottom of the barrel for some. Not everyone is gonna have the same attachment to characters after all. My marvel side of things was essentially that.
