Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite |OT| Marvel vs. Capcom: 4 Female Characters

As someone who is not a really a fan of fighting games but enjoyed the hell out of Injustice 2 SP and multiverse, would you guys say I'd enjoy this? How's the SP content and unlockables? I love the Marvel universe so that's a plus as well lol

To me this game is like a love letter for fighting game enthusiasts so i dunno. The sp, imo, is serviceable, tho id be salty dropping 60 for it. It's a really great game though.
 
Problem with those DLC "slots" is that like you said, there will probably be a ton of costumes so it's hard to get a grasp on or get excited about which will be characters.

It's not for you.

But if you or anyone else really wants to check it out you can rent it at RedBox and beat all the SP stuff in a couple hours.
 
Question y'all . Anyone who plays offline when selecting the Vs P2 option. Anyone gets a screen afterwards deciding which control goes to P1 and P2? I've asked a friend of mine and he hasn't seen it but it tells me that I can install up to 4 controllers .. never had the chance to actually see if anything pops up cause I don't have more than 2 controls
It's an option you can set, I think? I forget where in the menus.
Playing on aPS4 controller and i mapped R2 as both punches for easier air dashes. But i still had a lot if trouble doing it consistently. I then noticed in the lab that it kept registering two presses most times i tried it. I think R2 is really pressure sensitive so when i feel like im just tapping it im actually hitting it twice. I remapped my controls a bit and put both punches on R1 and my game improved tenfold. I really recommend PS4 pad pkayers try this if they are struggling with this.
I'm gonna try it out, I've been having some issues with the back triggers being my PP and KK buttons.
 
Hey, why isn't MODOK a playable character?? He's clearly been completely modeled and they have his movelist and animations from UMvC3...

It's a lengthy read but it's a complicated game so I didn't want to leave any stone unturned. There is still a lot to add to it as we get more concrete information about the game.

I might be mistaken but isn't it the case that when a non-active character does damage that all of it (or an increased amount of it?) is red HP? Like if Ryu does his beam hyper and tags in Ultron, the beam hyper damage will all be red HP? This isn't listed in your google doc so I'm not sure now, but I though it was the case.

If you check the collection thing, you can see an updated version of his MvC3 idle animation under characters. To my knowledge, it isn't actually used anywhere in story mode (it seems different than his story mode model)

This game is straight savage.
You also get chipped from normals if you're blocking in the air, and of course red life is gone if you get grabbed. Yup, savage af. There's been a few times where I've gotten hit since I tried to block in the air not realizing I just landed and apparently accidentally jumped. Gotta learn to just hold back in the air just in case now lol

There's a 2 hour story mode and that's it. There's nothing even close to the Multiverse or AI battle stuff in IJ2. Between the lack of SP stuff and how hard the game is even play at a fundamental level, I have a really hard time recommending it to new/casual players.

Her character model's face is okay until they do close ups. Yeesh. I guess that's basically all the models in this game.

I would have to check but it seems like it does damage as normal.

Yeah I expect at least 2 of those dlc characters to slip into 2018 given how SF5's dlc went. Unless marvel has a much more efficient dlc production pipeline for some reason.
 
That's the theory. We should be getting Sigma, Black Panther, Monster Hunter, Venom, Winter Soldier and Black Widow* within the next three months.

they literally said all are coming this year, before the game's release, and especially the other day when they announced all the characters.
 
There's a lot of potential with mind stone mixups if you can bnb 65% and do a set up for it, that's basically a one touch. To a lesser extent power stone can be used if they arent ready for cross-up power stone schenanigans
 
I knw this shit would happen. I didn't have the money ahead of time to order my converter. Now, all the good Brooks ones are sold out, and/or going for double retail price from private sellers. I could go CronusMAX, for 70, but that too is damn near double the price.

Anyone used the CronusMAX converter? I'm thinking it might be good for going to random games, won't have to worry about whether it's on Xbox or PS. But that 70 dollar price tag - woof!

Thanks for keeping the hype even when people were super down on it pre-release (seems to be turning around, probably too late sales wise tho) and for basically doing what Capcomdont.

I'm pretty positive that Monster Hunter was planned to be part of base roster but Ant-Man got shelved so Monster Hunter was pushed back into Season 2017.
