Just how many characters are/have been running around with Wolverine's DNA in the Marvel universe? Know of Laura, Daken, now this new girl, and I'm pretty sure he's had some other kids out there somewhere in the comics at some point right?

Yeah, the "rumour" from last year that the X-Men and/or Inhumans were going to get shunted off to their own continuity and forgotten is completely false. Both franchises are here to stay for the foreseeable future.

Not necessarily. More of a response to Death of X and the ensuing plots regarding the main books for over year or more.
But there is a rumour of mainstream Logan returning, right? He has been dead since early '15 if I remember correctly. Time for him to come back.
And again, hopefully the books will be better, because after Remender's X-Force and Aaron's Wolverine and the X-Men the mutants are pretty crappy.

IIRC bleeding cool posted the news about Astonishing X-Men before it was announced by Marvel along with some info about Wolverine being brought back to comics.

Unsure why you would. Everything Wolverine does, OML does but better.
Basically they posted info from a Marvel creative summit about what the company would be doing later in the year from a source that has apparently been correct before. The first thing was that Marvel would be cutting back on the politics with Secret Empire being the last of that story type for a while, and they moving back towards the status quo with classic heroes. According to retailers Marvel revealed this at a meeting with retailers a few weeks ago. The second thing was that Marvel would be bringing in some big name talent in 2018 both new and returning. The last thing was that Marvel would start merchandising the X-Men again, including a cartoon announcement later this year, with Wolverine returning as well.

I'm surprised that someone at Marvel hasn't done a combination of Wolverine, Scott Summers and yeah while we're at Jean Grey's DNA as a clone.
He (or she) will have bone claws, can't see and blast people with his/her eye laser and can read minds and fly around.
Can't be any worse than their time displaced original X-Men.
Or Cyclops is already dead, Emma Frost is just manipulating everyone.

Only ones I will probably pull are ANW and Blue. For ANW, I already read that. It's just alright, but it has Laura in it, and she more or less acts like herself, As for Blue, I would ignore it as I don't like the O5 at all, but Bunn is writing it, and that gives me some hope. His Uncanny was the only decent X-men team book post Secret Wars, and he writes a great Magneto.
Still sad Laura's not on a team though. Boo.
Oh, and the book I refuse to touch is Jean Grey. It's a perfect mix of the worst person in the world as a main character mixed with one of the worst writers in mainstream comics. No fucking thank you.
