He will likely spend even more to help elect my pro-gay marriage Democrat opponent, former President of the Colorado State Senate, Stan Matsunaka.
Tim Gill and Stan Matsunaka are trying to defeat me for re-election because I have been the U.S. House leader for the Federal Marriage Amendment to protect the sacred union of marriage between one man and on.

This is an emergency turn of events for my campaign.
Last election, when this was an open seat, the Republican Party spent more than $1 million to help elect me.
But now as the incumbent congresswoman they expect me to fully-fund my own campaign and do not plan to spend a penny to help me.
My opponents know this too.
On September 30th, I must prepare my last campaign finance report before the election.
Campaign finance reports are the measuring stick of how well a campaign is doing.
The report will also show other angry liberals like Tim Gill if they should attack me too.

Of course my opponent, liberal Democrat Stan Matsunaka, will be looking closely at my report to exploit any weaknesses he may see in my campaign.
The liberal special interests in Washington will use the information to decide if they should dump last minute cash into my race to attack me.
Because of this huge, last minute TV buy against me, I must raise immediate funds to defend our traditional values.
At this stage in the game, it could mean disaster if the Democrats and the liberal special interests are able to detect even a hint of weakness in my campaign budget.
