man, besides the fact I got the Hurricane again, my packs have been awesome.
Got the Carnifex, and leveled it to 2
Finally got the Revenant for my Turian Soldier
Got the Quarian Engineer, and with secondary colors
Got the Quarian Infiltrator and Black Widow
And this is just in the past 24 hours

Bought 2 Premium Spectre packs so far, unlocked Salarian Infiltrator and Krogan Sentinel with them (plus Disciple and Revenant). Hoping for an Asari Adept next, but so far so good.
Was expecting a Gold requirement for this weekend's challenge. Should make Gold pubs more interesting for the few days.

Yeah, Krogan classes are fun to play on the lower levels but they're worthless on gold.
Adept, Engineers and Infiltrators are the most popular classes on gold. Vanguard is doable but it requires a guy who knows what he's doing and while not necessary, having an Adept back him up increases his utility by leaps and bounds.

Krogan can still farm Geth White on Gold. Then again anything can farm Geth White on Gold.
What's the standard setup for a Turian Soldier's Revenant? My Revanant got up to IV through these premium packs, but after giving it a shot I thought it was much worse than Phaston X. I hate how the stupid stabilizer overcompensates and pulls the site down.
I still plan on giving more time to the Hornet. I used to really like that gun. However, it's hard to ignore the Tempest's ability to land 20 headshots in the blink of an eye.
The easiest area to camp is the point directly opposite the spawn. Where the primary control panel is in single player.
However, I suspect that with so many newcomers to that map trying to get setup properly is going to be problematic. Hopefully this will inspire more mic use.

In my first premium spectre pack I got a paladin and a black widow. With the commendation pack I received yesterday I got a valiant. I like the valiant better than the black widow because the reload time and weight are much better on the valiant. What's the general consensus with the valiant vs the black widow ?

Finally found out what people mean by farming geth at firebase white, pulled that off a couple of times. Definitely like those gold level credits.
So I got a Javelin, I guess I just don't get that gun, I took it into a bronze match with my Salarian Infiltrator to try it out and was the low scorer :lol

I think it comes down to your confidence as a sniper. If you want your mistakes to matter less use the Valiant. But if you're confident you can land almost every shot, the Black Widow has the edge. The weight doesn't matter much assuming you're using it on an infiltrator. All that said, I don't actually have a Black Widow yet, but I've seen it in action and it kicks like a horse compared to the Valiant.

Once people have found an easy strat they don't bother looking for another one until it gets nerfed. So while there could be a similar setup for reactor, nobody has bothered looking for it because they're too busy farming on white.
the hurricane? it isn't. point blank it does quite a bit of damage but it's just a mess overall

I like being able to carry my carnifex without there being a penalty added to my recharge stat. I'm using a salarian engy on silver and gold runs. The paladin is a beast but its too heavy so a carnifex and valiant seem to do the trick for me.
Human sentinel can also work well if he has adepts or vanguards around.

Wooo! I *FINALLY* got the Carnifex after playing multiplayer nonstop since launch. Took long enough, goddamn!
Also: I love the Valiant! Unlocked the Widow this morning and switched back to the Valiant because of the extra shots, low weight, and super speedy reload times. I imagine a Valiant X must be pretty kickass.

I disagree. I use my Krogan Sentinel on Gold and I'm just a tank. Just because you're a Krogan doesn't mean you need to be all melee happy. I bring a Widow and a GPS with me, I have no points put into Incinerate so I don't care about recharge speed. Only time I melee is if they're weak and close. Rage mode helps, but it's not necessary.
The comparison bars are useless, you are better off using the spreadsheets to compare weapons.
Man, screw the Dagger map. I normally have stuck to bronze challenges because I'm too lazy to wanna work harder in silver or gold usually. Tonight I decided to try a few silver matches though. Both times I played it I got placed in a match with Dagger as the map. We were doing fine both times for the most part...until I got stuck outside the geometry of the map and couldn't get back on the field!
At first I was just locked outside the fence, and if I stand still I was fine there. Enemies could shoot at me, and I could maybe hit some other enemies. If I moved around too much though, the map got all crazy on me, and eventually it just started making me float in the air until I was flying forever and ever. This fucking sucks! It was funny at first, but when it happened to me a second time, I was just pissed.

Host games when you play Vanguard. Reduces the chances of getting stuck outside the map by an awful lot.
What do you guys think about this build for my Asari Adept, using a Carnifex I. Currently playing bronze, would like to move up to silver.
I mostly have doubts about the last point in Justicar (pistols), thinking about ditching that to take 3 points in Fitness, but would that be worth it? I picked it to try to keep cooldown as low as possible, my Carnifex I weighs enough...
Never thought I'd be thinking this hard about builds for Mass Effect 3... I used to make so much fun of 5skills lol ME2 :lol

Holy crap! I just got super lucky with a Premium Spectre pack and got +1 Thermal Clip Pack (yawn), Black Widow (Woo!), and Carnifex II (Double woo!).
Really interested to see how the Black Widow compares to the Valiant (my new favorite sniper).
Seems the Black Widow is way heavier and has a shorter reload time. Hmm...will have to give a test run.
Now that I have the Black Widow, I now own all the Gold weapons EXCEPT the Arc pistol. And I'm only missing 3 N7 weapons (excluding the special ones): Talon, Paladin, and Wraith.

3 points in Fitness isnt gonna make as much of a difference as reducing pistol weight.

Glad to see folks are warming up to the Valiant... Ammo trick or not, the ability for fast reload (with solid damage) makes it absolutely godly.
You're probably right, it's not like I'm going to get 5 Carnifex upgrades soon...
Yeah, I've been using it with my engineer. Was addicted to the Carnifex, but I'm more addicted to the Valiant's damage!

Yeah, I'm really happy I got it this week. It's such a great gun for shitty snipers like me who don't have the mad skillz to land consistent head shots.
Plus, the light weight, super fast recharge, and quick fire rate allows me to take down enemies rather quickly.
It'll be interested to see if I enjoy it more than the Black Widow. Just from fooling around with the Black Widow in a solo game, I noticed the recoil is way higher than the Valiant. Hmm...maybe I'll stick with the Valiant? We'll have to see!

Yeah good point, the recoil on the Valiant is virtually nonexistent. Let us know how the comparison with the Black Widow goes... those are two guns that are similarly built that are rare enough where most people don't have both. I've been curious for quite some time now how the weight/damage/reload/recoil/clip comparisons stack up versus the other.

Yeah, I plan on testing out the Black Widow the next couple of days to see how it compares. I need to farm it up while these Premium Spectre Packs are available because I've been getting some damn good stuff lately.
I have a feeling I'll like the Valiant more because of the quick reload/low recoil.
Yeah, if you plan on using a low level Carnifex use the weight reduction instead of fitness.

I've encountered it on occasion through normal play, but the idea is that with long reloading sequences (ie, Widow), watch your ammo count. Once the clip is there, interrupt the rest of animation with something like rolling or running in order to use your gun again.
