Oh nice, thanks.
You can't be a jerk? That sucks.
Wow that's really disappointing.
I feel bad for anyone who is interested in having fun in the multiplayer.
There's no excuse for having it be Peer to peer
That was my main disappointment when I saw the squad mates. It's still weird to me that this was all prefaced on traveling to an entirely NEW GALAXY. Like, wow, now we're really going to see some new shit.
Except, mostly, it seems, not so much...
Here's a snowy planet. Here's a jungle planet. Here's a desert planet. Here's another Turian, another Krogan, another Asari to kick it with.
Much of the fun of the initial ME was getting to explore the universe, meet new alien species, and really get a feel for humanity's expansion into the stars. This jump to a new galaxy seems narratively wasted, at least in the first 10 hours.
Peer to peer connections are literally why you can play ME3 MP today.I feel bad for anyone who is interested in having fun in the multiplayer.

Why bother moving galaxy at all if we're going to be surrounded by Asari, Krogans, Salarians etc?
So how is the regular PS4 version in term of performance, solo and Multi ? I'm really worried about this.
Anyone know if DF has made a PS4 vs PS4 Pro video yet? The only one I can find is from like last year which I don't trust to demonstrate the final product.

Yeah I thought this was odd as well. I thought the whole point was to introduce new races of aliens. Aside from reviewers though most people have only played 10 hours, maybe this changes later in the game since your beginning squad mates are gonna be races you're already familiar with. At least I hope it changes. It's still weird to me that this was all prefaced on traveling to an entirely NEW GALAXY. Like, wow, now we're really going to see some new shit.

Why make a new Mass Effect if you're going to just carry over humans to Andromeda? Might as well make a new IP at that point.
Because Mass Effect has always been about the human struggle???
Lmao I don't even remember what I picked. Replaying the trilogy ATM.Because the Milky Way is derped isn't it, depending on how your ME3 ended.
Yeah, I figured it was supposed to be a fresh start/reboot sort of situation.Yeah, it seems like they wanted to use the galaxy jump to thematically emphasize a series reboot. But then, somewhere along the way, someone got nervous and decided that most of the old series would also be shipped right along to Andromeda.
I'll still probably bite down the road if the dialogue/plotting takes a real turn for the not-horrible in the later parts of the game. The combat looks pretty fun at least...
That... makes sense I guess but I feel like they could've figured something out.Well, they only just got there, kind of makes sense that they'd try and stick together (I mean, why would a bunch of native aliens follow the lead of some inexperienced human who's only just arrived in the galaxy and doesn't know shit about it?). I could see them having more new aliens in the squad in the second Andromeda game.

Game is beautiful in HDR...
I sure hope so.I think they're joking

Like in Dragon Age Origins one of your first companions is a Qunari. In Mass Effect 1 by the time you leave the citadel you have a Krogan, a Quarian and a Turian.
Actually... what current-gen title is not P2P or semi-P2P these days?I feel bad for anyone who is interested in having fun in the multiplayer.

They aren't the focus, they are the core. Making a Mass Effect w/o humans might as well be a new IP.I'm not. Yes, humans are a focus, but the other races are just as iconic.

There might be some moments. Inquisition let you make some tough choices, and I'm sure Andromeda will too. But like Inquisition you just can't seem to be outright rude, nasty or murderous like jerk Shepard or jerk Hawke, which was pretty hilarious at times. Bioware seems to have moved away from that aspect which is a shame.

But other races aren't absent here. I don't understand. Your avatar is one of them from this game.
That's true.Sure, though in the the ME original trilogy humanity's already established for a couple of decades with the other races. Also- no mass relays for easy access to the whole galaxy. I sympathise with the sentiment but how they've played it isn't unreasonable IMO.
I don't follow.I didn't say to make a new Mass Effect without humans, I said it doesn't feel like Mass Effect without the other races too.
NVM I'm with you on that.People are complaining that the other races made it over to Andromeda. I said without them it doesn't feel like Mass Effect.

What time can I play this EST using vpn?
That's a fair question I guess. I'd just interpreted the early promotional materials as promising a much more radical reboot with fewer immediately relevant touchstones to the original trilogy

You can punch, bully, and even downright tell your party followers to fuck off and/or get out and you don't consider that to be rude? Lol.

If it were up to me, this would have been a direct sequel. Pick a color, tell people to suck it up and write a new story. I wasn't done with the Milky Way.
