This, should be limited to console gamers (PC gamers should be ignored as they distort the figures by buying every turd on the sun as long as it appears in a steam sale).Need to know what group of people is being surveyed here. Because if it includes people who only play on mobile, then no shit.
Mobile gamers will almost never buy a game because they're almost all f2p.
If they only surveyed people who primarily played on console/pc then it would be an interesting statistic and show how many people are the type to just play the same fifa/cod/fortnite and rarely buy into something else.
Somehow i expected this to be higher. Not sure why lol.Makes sense when you consider this

I mean we got enough data about these gamers already. This, should be limited to console gamers (PC gamers should be ignored as they distort the figures by buying every turd on the sun as long as it appears in a steam sale).

I wonder if GAF are truly unaware of how tiny a niche they actually areWe must be absolute aliens on this forum compared to the rest of the gaming market. Sometimes I don't even know how many I bought the current month because I've lost count / don't bother, lol
In reality that number rarely changes much no matter if the economy is in boom or recession or who is PresidentSomehow i expected this to be higher. Not sure why lol.
That's because financial litteracy is only for the rich peopleMakes sense when you consider this

They clearly aren't.I wonder if GAF are truly unaware of how tiny a niche they actually are
They're as low as they've ever been when accounting for inflation.I mean...game prices are high as hell.
I've been saying that for a while. This forum does not represent the average player at all. Doesn't surprise me most people can't afford a $70 video game more than once a monthWe must be absolute aliens on this forum compared to the rest of the gaming market. This is an important followup from him. Not just about this, but about gaming news in general.
This is also why everyone is trying to get at least 1 GaaS to hit. If about a third are rarely buying new games and they keep playing the same game over and over again, are you more likely to sell them on a new game or sell them something in the game they're already playing? Developers/Publishers are simply spending money where most gamers are.
Financial literacy can only go so far when basic costs raise at levels far outpacing what incomes/raises provide. That's because financial litteracy is only for the rich people
The most fun i had recently was with abiotic factor. Most New games suck. Most people don't jack off over graphics and cutscenes like weirdos on gaming forums.
Games don't needs to be super expensive 300 million budget Interative movies.
There's no games worth buying so it's a perfect time to complete the backlog
I wouldn't say it's an affordability issue. Games were expensive in the 90s too. You would have to be pretty damn poor to not be able to afford a $600 console that will be used for years.I've been saying that for a while. This forum does not represent the average player at all. Doesn't surprise me most people can't afford a $70 video game more than once a month
Biggest non-f2p strata is 4 games per year
Making GP at 20$ (~4 games a year) a value and for 30$ (~6 games a year) a non-value
