I left the facial hair because he seems to like it, but I groomed it.

It's like the different between graphical quality and art in video games.
You may not like my the style I choose for them, but I'm sure you can agree that their overall quality could use some improvement.

Teddman is the only totally subjective case here, I believe. He's a good looking guy regardless of the style I chose for him. Matlock, on the other hand, can improve his complexion and groom himself better. Atomsk is somewhere in the middle, leaning more towards the teddman side of things.

I disagree. Well, it doesn't look so hot on Matlock, but it looks good on tedd. Atomsk would be better off without it, too.

With hair like yours gel isn't what you should be using.
Try some Mousse and don't use too much. a small handful should do just fine. Comb it in, wet it a little, and do your best to comb it dry. You should keep the body and still have enough 'stick' to keep it where you want it.
