"Antonio Cesaro, you're boring. You know what would improve your character? If you were from another country, say Germany. Wrestlers become successful when they play characters who aren't from their home country, just look at Rosa Mendez and Kofi Kingston."

Del Rio is shit, so boring to watch. I haven't been able to sit through an entire Del Rio match since Dolph cashed in.

So terribly forced.

Cesaro is awesome cause even though he's shit on push wise he'll go out there and do impressive stuff in the ring that actually makes people go :O and take notice.... until he then randomly jobs to the guy pretending to be a snake for the millionth time.

What does Del Rio ever do? Slap his arm to no reaction and smile a lot. PUSH THAT GUY TO THE MOON, MULTIPLE YEARS! Ricardo is more likeable.

Cesaro > Sin Cara >>>>>>>>>>>> Del Rio.

The fact that they can't do anything with Cesaro is so stupid, looks the part, has the skill, and they still struggle to work it. :|

Ya'll should be grateful they haven't sent him down to NXT. Tarnishing the name of Del Rio? For this bum?

You're all lucky I'm not a moderator.

Hey Wrestling GAF> I hope you can help a brother out. I used to watch wrestling as a kid back in the late 90s to early 00s. Anyway, I was just watching some matches on Youtube from back then. And I wanted to watch the whole of the Attitude era.

Now, can someone help me with the order of episodes? I mean I've read that it started when Stone Cold won at King Of the Ring 1996.

So, that leaves me wondering, what order do I watch the episodes in? Where do each of the Pay Per Views fall in between the Monday night Raws? Plus, was there no Smackdown back then?

The best part of Del Rio is Ricardo. I mean, Del Rio is a good wrestler and all but he's just not getting any reaction at all and his promos aren't great. The best Del Rio promo was the one from WM29 and it was only a voice over. If you gave Ricardo to Sin Cara, they'd both do wonderfully. Cara can be as big as Mysterio if he can stop getting hurt and works with the right people.

Also, my mother thinks the Cesaro change is stupid. I didn't even mention it to her, she just picked up on it and was like "what the fuck?"

Del Rio is a face. It is too typical of wresslegaf to not like a face.

Would let Tony Parker sleep with his wife
So I heard the Punk/Jericho match for the ppv isn't happening because Punk is not going to show up. Mainly because Punk isn't a client of Heyman..just a friend. Heyman instead brings out Axel to fight Jericho which Axel wins by some fluke (that's why Jericho is winning matches now). Punk shows up after the match to confront Heyman about booking his matches and they start beefing. That's when Brock shows up like a RKO and lays out Punk. Punk takes more time off til Summerslam.

You didn't hear it from me tho.

Del Rio was a boring heel too.

At least I could play guess how much the car is worth though in those days.

Now he has joined the Sheamus fast forward group.

Do you think Kane will get the same kind of respect that Bret Hart got when he's retired and old?

Doubt it, he's just...... Kane.

I don't give a shit about where they bill Cesaro as being from (though it would be stupid to change it) just give him a chance to act out a character on screen as opposed to being someone who only gets on the mic to yodel and speak 5 different languages. Most of his supercilious Swiss USA bashing was great but that was about 10% of his promo output(next to yodelling, liplocking Aksana, and swiss/fench/whatever) and I don't think he ever actually got into a feud and interacted with an opponent on the mic in his 20 year US title reign.

I mean his promo work with generico on NXT was better than anything he did during his title run because the face addressed one of his characteristic (he could speak multiple languages) and how little it meant because he could speak languages Cesaro couldn't and it wasn't worth boasting about.

I don't think ADR's reaction is quite as flat as it's being made out. he gets a decent midcard pop for his dumb kick and also for the SI SI SI spot where he slaps his arm, goes to apply the armbar and gets pushed in the ass. has he ever applied that damn move after calling for it? change it up for the love of God! Ricardo is definitely more over, but that's not really a problem. Swagger isn't over, Zeb is; Tonnes of Funk aren't over, Cameron and Naomi are; McGillicutty isn't over, Heyman is - yet these pairings are 'smart'.

probably worth noting that my fiance is a mark, and she likes Del Rio because 'he's handsome and he seems like a nice guy'. I think she's pretty representative of the overall crowd reaction. he's fine, nobody's favourite wrestler is Alberto Del Rio. he's an okay worker when he needs to be, reason he gets pushed despite his constant lukewarm response (it was actually pretty hot in January during the Big Show feud) because he's getting Mexican viewers and PPV buys, and because Dos Caras is his Dad presumably. nepotism > talent in professional wrestling. unfortunately for Cesaro, he isn't over and his daddy isn't one of the old boys club, which is why I'd wager than in 12 months time Cesaro is working RoH and Bo Dallas has the MiTB briefcase at least.

Cesaro never really got given much of a chance, though. He got the very dated and tame anti-American gimmick as US champ, then he got no gimmick and lost every week.

Stuff like that Outside The Ring episode above shows he has a lot of personality and given the right material is quite charismatic. Plus his ring work alone would get him over if he got Shield type matches on RAW every week. The Shield are getting 20+ minute matches weekly, and to no one's surprise, they've gotten over a lot.

Meltzer is saying that Mark Henry's injury from Extreme Rules requires surgery and WWE are pissed. he's supposedly off indefinitely and they want to give his face push to Big E Langston. too soon :<

Are they pissed at Henry?

And no, Big E shouldn't go face for awhile still. If anything, Ziggler should turn face before him.

yeah he mentioned it on Observer radio and there's more about it in the newsletter today

We also look at what WWE wrestler has a lot of heat on him and why he won't be around for a while

seems like they were laying the foundations for Big E to be face with AJ yelling at him on Raw
although on Smackdown spoilers it seems they did the same thing and it worked this time

Sunny got too much X-Pac heat in OT recently, our threads wouldn't get more than a seagull pop and we'd all be legit shook.

We gotta book our OT threads better. Give some of our young wrasslin-gaf posters the rub.

DMczaf, do you think Man of Steel will sponsor a WWE PPV? Will Henry Cavill be in the audience and get interviewed by Josh Mathews?

If Man of Steel is a sponsor of a WWE PPV, the most the WWE could get is Jenny Olsen or maybe some extras who played soldiers in the movie.

Cena will shake their hand and salute them anyway.

Okay so I just watched the latest episode of Storage Wars and Roddy Piper was on it. He was appraising some kilts Barry got in a locker. He appraised them in a Scottish pub, yet somehow was the soberest he's been in 6 years. Go figure.

I question Piper's authority on high end collectable kilts.

Bruins vs. Blackhawks in the Stanley Cup final... cue CM Punk returning at WWE Payback as the series kicks off to kick Cena's ass.

I then get all pissy over Cena in a Bruins jersey when we all know he's not really a hockey fan... he'll just wear whatever the hometown team's jersey happens to be wherever he's taping.

I would be happy to see Cesaro on the best WWE show more often.

Pretty much. People love Ricardo.
People could kinda care less for Del Rio since he's pretty average as far as things go. Dude can wrestle, but people could care less for whatever reason, and as mentioned, his promos aren't THAT great.
Also doesn't help that he's falling into that "faces that are dicks" category.

Still kinda miffed they didn't keep Hunico as the black Sin Cara for a while longer, but instead, immediately went to the unmasking, then he got shuffled into a generic Mexican stereotype gimmick.

Shit. :(
