So whats the verdict here on this game? They got the LE version at ebgames.com for $30 with a free copy of Live Arcade. I liked the first one, not loved, just liked. But like any self respecting man, I love giant robots and havent played a good mech game since Steel Batallion and ZOE -

Any opinions?

It's ok, but something just felt off.... mainly the broken online mode.

Worth the $30? Sure, I think so... but not much more.

The graphics are great, the action is really good save a couple stupid escort up the mountain missions. You should be ablwe to get some decent fun out of it.

it is pretty hard to ruin a mech game. and this game isn't "ruined". it's not great, i enjoyed single player a bit (despite the horrible acting...), but the multiplayer wasn't that great. i personally think it's worth $20 at most

If you liked the first one, you will like this one, as its just more of the same.

The first game was cool, it was just overrated. The problem with it was that pretty much every other Xbox Live game at the time was pretty awful, so MechAssault got a lot of praise that it wouldnt have really gotten otherwise. So now the second one is here, and its pretty much the same game; but the competition has gotten a lot better so its not as good now.

I didn't really like the single player campaign that much though. I mean its a game about driving giant robots where you GET OUT OF YOUR ROBOT all the time. The hell?

This was $15 at K-Mart last weekend. The sale usually comes up once a month, so if you have one nearby (with copies in stock), wait on it.
