(Konami) will barely make the top ten while the rest of the top ten will be the usual suspects (Wii play, wii sports, NSMB, some training game, hopefully zelda)

It won't do at all.
I'm glad they used the pacing, music and scenes they used in that last trailer that everyone on GAF loved. Does that mean that SE reads GAF?king zell said:

No, everyone knows they read 2ch instead... but that's almost the same thing.titiklabingapat said:I'm glad they used the pacing, music and scenes they used in that last trailer that everyone on GAF loved. Does that mean that SE reads GAF?
sphinx said:I personally think a Metal Gear spin-off based around the wiimote would be more succesful than Dewy and Eletits but Konami is firmly convinced that those titles with that thematic do not belong in the wii, go figure.
Capcom, on the other hand, is starting to make alot of sense since next-gen arrived, surprisingly. They will test the waters with opposite titles: RE: UC <-> Z&W. Now, watch RE outsell Z&W. Even if RE wasn´t a stablished franchise, I'd bet it would still outsell it. In any case, performance of those titles is crucial to decide what kind of support is the Wii going to receive from capcom. If both sell very well, then happy capcom planning a RE5 remake specifically for wii wouldn't be out of the question, not sure how but its possible.

Don't let CVXFREAK see your comment re RE5. You might get his hope up

Hey no worries, glad to spread the word. Definitely go and see them live if you get the opportunity.Tf53 said:Thanks man, just bought the album after listening to some snippets. Good stuff.
Well, just going by worldwide shipments and assuming it didn't take much longer than that to sell with PS2 being pretty hot, looks like ~13 months. March 6, 2000 Japanese launch, and then these are two figures given for March 2001:vanguardian1 said:JoshuaJSlone, I was looking at your charts, and I was wondering, if you knew how long it took for the PS2 to reach 10 million consoles WW?
ethelred said:CVX pretty explicitly doesn't want RE5 on the Wii and thinks the people that do are pretty fanboyish, actually -- he thinks they should buy the systems RE5 is being released for, based on what he's said in the past.
Dragona Akehi said:cvx also stated, after playing RE4Wii that RE5 will undoubtedly be a step back in terms of gameplay.
apujanata said:From Moor Angol's website of Famitsu sales :
Minna No Golf 3 (PS2) : 272.758
Minna No Golf 4 (PS2) : 475.269
If MP8 can be first (above MNG5), then it confirm that PS3 are dead (in Japan).

The release of Hot Shots on 7/26 will carry great, great significance...much more than I originally thought.

You'll see a lot of games from Playstation lose selling power and a lot of Nintendo's getting a boost.Moor-Angol said:I think MP8 has few chances to get #1 spot, Minna no Golf 5 will sell at least 200k on first week, and i don't think Mario Party brand is strong enought to reach those sales
July 26 will be hot, many realeses, and i bet Gundam 0079 for Wii will easily reach 100k in few weeks (if not at launch)
LanceStern said:You know I've come to the conclusion that a lot of people have me on ignore, but for those that don't, here's a small list of the FAMOUS FIVE of the Nintendo DS:
Pokemon DP has been dropping, and if this can continue for a year or two, mario will finally get the #1 crown he rightfully deserves. Brain Age 2 is also a tricky game, getting some awesome boosts randomly.
Surprisingly, Pokemon has the smallest legs of them all, and it seems Mario Kart is the most consistent after Mario Bros. Animal Crossing always = awesome

NSMBs main enemies are the big 1st party gamer titles (and FFIII which caused the biggest % drop if I remember right), BT2 has very little competition.
I did a graph of NSMB sales to illustrate this but that too was largely ignored
Nope.titiklabingapat said:Is there waggle in MNG5 at all?
GI: Now that you have the addition of motion detecting with the Sixaxis controller, are you planning on implementing anything such as a golf swing?
Muramori: People might get a little tired of after playing eighteen holes I know I do we want players to explore every course so for the time being we dont have anything planned for the SIXAXIS controller.
titiklabingapat said:That kinda sucks. They missed a pretty golden opportunity to sabotage Wii Sports and showcase to everyone that the PS3 has waggle too.
I tried my cousin's PS2 controller and did some golfing swings and it wasn't that bad.

This interview isnt that old and since the game is out in about 3 weeks i doubt they had time to add any Sixaxis functions. I guess it can be added in an update tho.
