Pachinko and Evangelion...thats a $$$ recipe for sure in Japan. Not surprised it's first in the last lol.

sp0rsk said:Playing pachinko is really really expensive, it can be anywhere from 10 dollars to 100 dollars a game in a pachinko parlor. My guess is that people buy these to practice at home. Every pachinko game has its own peg pattern and finding the hotspot takes some skill (apparently, I've only played pachinko once).
Also I think people just like playing pachinko.
Ohhh, the Mitchell game, right? What's that like?sp0rsk said:Could only afford Suujin Taisen.

Dalthien said:Dead Rising, Bullet Witch, Tenchu Z, GRAW, and Fight Night Round 3 are all part of the Platinum Collection budget re-releases this coming week.
SailorDaravon said:Wait, the Trusty Bell system bundle is a core? Isn't that kind of odd?
I wouldn't buy it, because I'm not interested in any of those games.sphinx said:If you consider yourself a gamer, to any extention of the word, HOW can you not buy the trusty bell bundle of grace and joy plus a couple of platinum titles including Dead Rising and GRAW?? Can someone do the math and tell me how much american dollars will a japanese gamer have to spend to get what I mentioned.
If that 360 sales number doesn't move to over 10k, Japan should be ashamed of their bias and declared unworthy of MS' efforts.
If it forces them to stop snubbing the Wii...Mr. Pointy said:I hope Trusty Bell sells big (Blue Dragon or at least DOA4 numbers). It would suck if tri-Crescendo released another awesome RPG that bombed.
Although to be pedantic, it'll bomb because it's on the 360.

Decent sales considering all the outrage on GAF about sales of HM on the Wii being a disaster.

The fanbase is exhausted from too many releases in such a short timespan. This isn't Madden or Dynasty Warriors, it's a farming sim.Stumpokapow said:Parl posted this in last week's thread:
So, sorted in order:
The Cube had ~2.4 million consoles sold in Japan when HM: AWL was launched. DS had approximately 1.9 million units when HMDS was launched.
I thought it was more like an Animal Crossing without the animals and Nintendo backing. The farming bit from what I've heard is more atmosphere than anything else. The Sphinx said:The fanbase is exhausted from too many releases in such a short timespan. Yeah exactly. My wife loves Mineral Town, but is skipping all until Rune Factory because there's only so many you can play. And even then it's probabaly best to wait for the 'girl' version. The Sphinx said:The fanbase is exhausted from too many releases in such a short timespan.
