crazy shortages for the psp. i thought they already dealt with these problems. and ps2 still fighting the good fight.

wii still under 10k? wow, sounds like it really needs a price cut.

PSP seems supply constrained, considering it had a fair bit of new software release the week

It seems that PSP stock level is not stable, they replenish it and let it dry.
Still PS3 and Wii flat week over week, 3DS again down and goes into the 20k-30k range.

Sony dropping the ball with the PSP, PS3 and 3DS doing meh, Wii doing lulz but 360 is the real success story here, outselling the PS2 by over a huge 600 units this week while it was behind a few weeks ago. MHF3 is at 4.437 million now, will be well over the 5 million mark when the budget releases come about. For the previous MHP game how many sales came at full price? It was good but recall a big chuck coming from the budget releases, hence the thought many had that the same trend would follow with MHF3......did not happen though.

Over 100 hours into the game, just can't get enough :p

Where are the shortages coming from is it because of logistics? I thought their manufacturing plants could output this kind of demand by now...most likely the quake still, right??

Could the PSP shortages be artificially created by Sony? I know it makes no business sense but the more difficult the system is to locate the more demand grows?

I don't think anyone is trying to keep the " 3DS doom and gloom narrative going". The 3DS is probably stabilizing now, but it has been going down weekly since it launched. That wasn't expected at all when the machine was unveiled and that's what is surprising people. We have some JP Gaffers who can verify whether or not the PSP still is suffering from shortages, I'll guess yes because a game just launched with 300K and another with 70K and 60K and the sales still went down significantly.

What happened to DQMJ2? Price cut? Advertising? Word of mouth?

It's still about a 15 percent drop. Better, but not exactly ready to flatline.

When is the next PS3 game to light up the charts in Japan? Versus XIII is nowhere in sight. Don't even know if Armored Core V will sell much.

How is PS3 not under 10k too?

Next week will be very interesting with Nintendo, I wonder if we will get a price drop for Japan then.

Sony dropped the ball this week regarding shortages. The psp probably could have moved 70k with the Robot Wars release.

That would amount to pushing the panic button, and it makes precious little sense to push the panic button before any of the first-party big guns have hit.

Or people bought the p1 port out of persona hype, realized it was a shoddy port of an old game and passed on making the same mistake again.

We found out through Media create white pages, the hidden best selling soft/hard for PS3,Torne, chances are it sells very well every week, we just don't ever get it's numbers.

Went over this last week, it trended up because commercials were re-started, this week thoese commercials were replaced with pilotwings commercials

There are NO 3ds shortages, nintendo isn't even shipping anymore until demand catches up with supply.

Generally best guess is that earthquake did hurt things, but generally it's believed they are gearing up for NGP and don't have any desire to spend the capital to increase production infrastructure on an old system.

No P2 shortages, game was reviewed poorly(If I had seen famitsu's review I would have changed my estimate) , Super robot took psp sales for the weak

PSP domination.

Looks like 3DS' sales will stabilize at 25k until maybe June, maybe DOA:D will give it a smallish spike for a week.
