Media Create Sales: Week 23, 2014 (Jun 02 - Jun 08)

Nice numbers for Persona Q, might we expect some other titles from the series on the 3DS? Maybe another P3 port?

Anyway how is Kirby selling compared to the other titles from the series?

With all of this Persona promotion and seeing such amazing numbers for Persona Q and 4 Golden it will be interesting seeing how good 5 does.

Sony should be on Atlus doorstep right now paying for them to port that game to PS4 for a holiday release.

That's not Atlus style, bro.

Gotta get that double dipping money a year after the original release.

Mario Kart registered barely a beep on the Wii U's EKG. Heading back down to join the PS4 on the 'eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee' line.

Okay so P4G did 300k (250k retail iirc) on Vita and PQ did 180k opening and its bascially an EO game.

What do you guys think P5 is going to do on PS3?

My bets 400k LTD

Nice relative hold for Wii U and a smaller drop than I expected for Mario Kart 8. Not bad.

Surprised Wolfenstein bumped the PS4 up, though.

Assuming kids are about to get out of school there, 3DS and PS4 both got appropriate increases. Doubt less than 10,000 copies of Wolfenstein had much to do with it.

What were you expecting for MK8? It'll be interesting to see how many copies they shipped and if it's still hard to find.

Nice Persona Q numbers. Besides that, everything else is awful.

Wondering if Persona Q might convince people to buy the Etrian Odyssey games.

Did MK64 suffer shortages at launch? Dat second week increase :lol

Mario Kart 8's drop isn't that bad? I mean I'd have expected worse given the userbase. I think it'll have immense legs anyway, but this is a good sign IMO.

Good numbers for PQ, but people were making it out to be some sort of record shattering numbers, which it isn't.
It's very impressive that a spinoff can put these numbers now. It's basically the third best opening for a Persona game - think about that. I think that shows growth for the franchise and reallllly makes me curious about how well Persona 5 can perform.

At least 500k LTD. Persona has grown a lot since 2008 (P4).
I'm thinking 500k LTD is quite likely, yeah. Persona 4 did 300k and I believe Golden has shipped 350k at this point in Japan. It'll be huge (relatively speaking, of course).

I was expecting Mario Kart to drop to 30k and the Wii U to be sub 10k

That's the reason of PS4 bump.

P4G shipped 350k, including downloads. Sell-through number probably isn't very far from that, though, since shipments grew gradually. I still think it includes other Asian countries, however.

400k first week.

(Why not?)

Pq only 200k on a user base of 15mil+ is very low. wiiu heading back down and a last minute rush to scoop up a psp before they become expensive to track down.

Yo-kai Watch just won't stop selling.

At one point I thought its sequel would have an opening similar to Inazuma Eleven 3, now that figure looks extremely conservative. If today I had to predict its first week sales, I would say around 800.000.

PS2 was at a similar LTD when P4 launched. Considering this is also a spin off gravitating on a genre that is foreign to the franchise I would say 186k sales are magnificent and jaw dropping.

Yeah, Youkai Watch 2 is going to be really freaking huge. I can't wait to see how well it does. The dedicated handheld market is so depressing that I am desperate for good news like those :P

Also really curious to see how well Freedom Wars will perform.

I'd actually say 1 million debut is starting to not seem that impossible.

Yeah, can't believe how huge YW is right now. With 2 iterations of the same game, I think YW2 will easily exceed 500k in 1st week. 600k to 800k is possible.
