Ellen's cool. Paula was a drug-addled fest the last few seasons. It was a miracle she could string some words and form a sentence.
 
People people like this (i'm speaking from the UK) tend to find have a harder time seeing terrible performers being laughed at and mocked, i could see her having a hard time on this show
 
:lol I love Ellen, so this kinda makes me wanna watch it, even if she might be out of her element. She couldn't possibly be worse than Randy and his worthless opinions.

I don't mind Ellen, but this is just stupid. Reminds me of when Dennis Miller did commentary on Monday Night Football.
 
well fuck, that seals it. next season i get the chance i'm going to audition! i'll be the guy with the harmonica.
 
Horrible choice. When she was the guest judge on "So you think you can dance?", her "routine" was cute at first then it became awkward when the dancers had to force a smile during her ramblings about nothing at all. By the end of the episode she learned to just say"great dance" and shut up, and that was only one show. I cant imagine a whole season of her "judging".
 
Paula would ramble on about nothing and be completely unentertaining. She is a fucking washed up pop singer from close to 2 decades ago. In fact her forte was dancing, not singing. So her resume hardly makes her an excellent judge of singing talent.

Ellen's a comedian, who's job is to quickly think of entertaining things to say. Sure she rambles, but at least it's fairly coherent and usually funny. Ellen also enjoys dancing, much like Paula, but does not have a gaudy jewelry business to promote.

I think Ellen's the perfect choice to replace Paula.

Well on the bright side she won't be a judge on SYTYCD.
 
What a terrible choice. We did fine with 3 judges for seven seasons. Last season was almost always rushing. They should have just stuck with 3.

Better than Paula. She thinks every act on the show is the greatest performance she's ever seen. :|
 
Is anyone else looking forward to the auditions more now? I think having Ellen making jokes will be WAY better than Paula trying to find something nice to say to everyone.
