Memory Stick help

I'm thinking of getting a new Memory Stick for my old (2+ years) Sony DSC-P71 camera. However, it only seems to support the regular kind, not the new ones used in PSP.

So, can I use an old Memory Stick for PSP later (is it backwards compatible?) or should I just forget my old camera? I sure could use another 128 megs storage in it.

The Duo is a smaller card... I thought the slot was only large enough for a Duo, if that's the case, no you cannot fit a regular size Mem Stick in to the PSP.

Some older MS devices won't read newer sticks. IIRC there's a compatibility page on www.memorystick.com. It would be best to go to Sony's customer service site on www.sonystyle.com, find your model, and see if there is a warning about compatibility, and a possible firmware update if there is.
