Quitting smoking is so hard. I've been watching Lynch films and that motherfucker chain smokes and he's like 75 years old. He's on record stating he just still loves it, the lighting of them and the taste of them and the aesthetic and brooding you do, and that he feels it's a part of "the art life" and that it engenders thinking which I absolutely agree with. There's nothing quite like mulling something over with cigarettes and caffeine. I was just reading quotes about him and smoking and he talks about how he tried to quit and it really depressed him. Obviously a lifelong smoker will say that.

Just really struggling with it right now, I don't feel like I'm myself at all and I keep reaching for a thing that isn't there.

I managed to get myself pretty addicted to vaping around 2016. I used lozenges and gum to quit. Stayed on them so long (years) that I developed this irritation in the back of my throat that wouldn’t go away and made it hard to sleep. So yeah, be careful with those if you try them lol
