That kinda goes against the basic concept of Doom. Keep your distance and choosing how to deal with enemies. Berserk was supposed to be a high risk-high reward, because melee against monsters is suicide. Too bad Berserk damage fluctuates damn high.

I for once agree with my brother. Going melee for kills doesn't feel right in a game where you rotates guns that are mostly mid~long range arsennal. The only reason my brother did is because the lack of ammo in combat, so he felt the need to.

You still need to do that but low level enemies are now fodder for resources, it was more fun to me, felt more intense. They were making a new game, if I wanted Doom 93 I'd play Doom 93.

Aside from the chainsaw melee was basically useless, except as a finisher which can replenish resources after you've already destroyed them with weaponry. It was a conscious decision to try and keep you in the fray rather than kite around it and hunt for items, you still have to be very conscious of your surroundings and enemy placements and do your best to engage at mid to long range.

One of the problems with the mic is it's volume in relation to the other sounds recorded, depending on the video I'm at a good enough volume or too low without actually changing any settings...
