Metal Gear Solid V E3 2015 Trailer

Is there an official list of Music licensed for MGSV? I know about Kids in America but naught else. My video's gonna be two hours long at this rate and I'm thinking I'm gonna need some additional music over it. (it helps that Elegia is 16 minutes long)

so this game is messing with our heads right?

I don't think so. I recall several articles that journalists put out last week mentioning that they couldn't go into greater detail on the complete track list, or something to that effect, so... it kind of sounds like Kojima wants that kept under wraps somewhat.

Yeah I know we don't know everything, but I know other tracks have been mentioned. The man who sold the world is another one.

edit: you're all hearing what I was hearing two years ago: literally any male voice actor would sound more like Snake than Keifer Sutherland. Troy Baker would make a perfect Snake if he could manage to do his gravelly voice without any of the southern drawl he's infused into Ocelot. Skullface's actor, too.

I hear it too! It can't be? I must just be hearing what I want to hear.

i don't know.

I for one wasn't even trying to hear Hayter's voice (prefer Sutherland's) but the way he drags on that "too" when he says i changed too and the way his "c" clacks when he says "linguistic" (which is also spoken in a different tone compared to the rest of the sentence) both sound very Hayterish to me.
I remembered the time stamp because i had noticed and i wrote about it on neogaf yesterday, and now this "catchmeifyoucan" tweet mentioning 3.45 is making me think i was right

and the whole #catchmeifyoucan thing really sounds like it's hinting at this.

In the meantime i tweeted back

I don't know about the Linguistic part, but I most definitely hear Hayter at :35 walking down the hall saying "With Each Change..." It's not nearly as gruff as Peace Walker or MGS4 but it is definitely his tone of voice, reminds me of MGS3 Snake actually.

So if his tweet was a tease, it's about the hallway scene at the start.

What if Skull Face is really a part of Big Boss' personality and David Hayter is actually going to voice Skull Face and that's why they swapped voice actors?

Who really knows, it could just be a Cameo of the different stages of Big Boss (Going by the context), that would be the most realistic outcome to this, but we were told awhile ago everything would be fine and we shouldn't worry.

So he's probably in the game in one capacity or another.

Definitely hope so, even a small cameo would really make it worthwile.

You guys are crazy, this is just Skull Face speaking.

I mean i said since the beginning Hayter will be in MGSV (Team A) but i don't think we've heard him in that trailer.

Have you not noticed the constant switching of voices throughout the trailer?
It's in the Japanese version too, everyone is saying different parts.

Honestly the Linguistic part sounded like Keifer to me, but the one at :35 is so unbelievably Hayterish that if it wasn't him, someone was deliberately trying to mimic him.
As I said, all that tells me though is he'll be in the game in some capacity, it could just be a cameo for all I know, I don't expect him to voice Big Boss or anything.

I hear in this order: Skull Face, Ocelot, Code Talker, Zero, Skull Face, Ocelot, Skull Face and Snake.

Isn't there software out there that can analyze these voices and check which ones are different from the others?

Also, there seems to be morse code beginning around the 4:16 mark in the video (high pitched beeps in a pattern)

Someone please translate!!

I don't think buddies can die here anymore either. When the mech was about to "die" Kaz intruded and rescued him automatically, mentioned something about how he couldn't let your "buddy" die.

Yeah, but what if your buddy was inside a building? Where it couldn't be fultoned out automatically? At that point one would think it'd have to be at risk of death. Obviously not a concern most of the time though

C'mon dudes... I would love for Hayter to return as much as the next guy, but he is NOT in this trailer. The guy that talks about linguistics is clearly Troy Baker.

There is a very slight moment when Skullface's voice also sounds a little bit like Hayter, but it's NOT Hayter.

Only thing that bums me out is the graphics. It's just nowhere near on par with othe AAA titles like Uncharted. It looks like a PS3 title.

It's a cross gen game but it runs at 60FPS at 1080p. Honestly, I think it looks fantastic. The intro to Ground Zeroes was my first "this is next gen" moment of this generation.

what ps3 game looks as good as MGSV and runs at 1080p and 60fps.
Beyond Two Souls doesn't run at 60fps, nor is it open world, but it certainly looks better, especially those character models. Many next gen only open world games also have better character models and better overall graphics, naturally, because MGSV is crossgen. Game looks really good in the cutscenes too. Standards for graphics have changed because the game was announced super early. Plus, bit of an unfair comparison, MGSV doesn't run at 60fps on last gen consoles iirc.

I dont know how I wont love this game

Seems everything I want from MGS. Big Boss as main character and his story, more stealth options, better controls, sandbox

I thought MGS2 had amazing graphics. In fact, I still do.

I'm glad to live in a world where a game can look as good as Ground Zeroes does on PS3, let alone the PS4 version which I haven't played. I still find myself being in awe of how good MGS4 looks too.

Perhaps not graphically (I still think it looks top tier) but the scope of the gameplay certainly seems next-gen worthy. Would that not be more satisfactory when most current gen games are devoid of good game design?
