My own speculation: These jobs archetypes cap at level 20, so I'm going to guess that more advanced ones may be capped at higher levels.

This game will likely be my GOTY this year.

Firing on all cylinders everytime I see it or read more on it.

Live from NeoGAF, it's Friday Night!
I'm not sure if this was already known but it is new to me.

In addition, since the “Fast” attack style depends on the Archetypes equipped by the player, finding a specific “Fast” fighting style that suits you will also be important in navigating the dungeons. Also, continuing to attack in “Fast” battle allows you to stun the enemy and start a command battle with an advantage.

So the archetype defines the fighting style outside of command battles. Pretty lose description. Could be different attacks or weapons. Maybe advantages through certain "elemental differences"? Archetype examples are Seeker, Mage and Thief so i'm curious on how it impacts 'Fast' gameplay. And just initiating a command battle through 'Fast' engagement isn't enough to gain an advantage, enemies need to be stunned. Finally some layers appear to the 'Fast' battle system.

Furthermore, during command battles, players can make various choices, such as handing over their turn to the next member, switching between front and back rows, and switching party members.

I can't wait to see the full extent of the 'Command' battles and hope for some real depth.

In addition, the difficulty level of battles in this game is intentionally made to be high, designed to emphasize the tension of deliberating and selecting commands to earn a great sense of accomplishment that comes with victory.

Good to read that it will be a challenging game! In fact "high difficulty" and "great sense of accomplishment" sounds punishing. Would be nice if the game is designed around the challenge and that it's not just a difficulty slider.

I’m looking forward to this one. Need some more JRPG goodness, especially after Unicorn Overlord was so good. This seems to have what I like about Persona without all the things I dislike about Persona. lol

hoping it’s better than Scarlet Nexus.

Same, Friend.
I'm all over this and SH2 remake. I think I will bounce between the two, when I take a break from this one.
I am getting both, but if I had to choose? Metaphor.

One thing I am hoping for the story, based on the enemies we've seen, I am really interested in a darker type of RPG.
Maybe one where the enemies actually feast on people? I'm tired of safe stories and usually Persona/SMT have brought the darkness, but have always been missing something...

And this game is Rated "T"

Also I like how enemies look desperation and creepy like Titans in AOT show.

Will do the same thing with a little bit of fantasy life.

As someone with a very limited tolerance for turn-based JRPG battles because of how boring and repetitive they can get, this sounds pretty great to me. Manually command my squad when it’s a difficult battle worthy of my time, otherwise stay in action mode.

We’ll see how it works in practice but I love the idea of it.

That the battle system in the new Trails from Daybreak and I really like it. Blow through trash mobs but strategy when you need it. I wasn't sure I would like it, but it just flows and feels fairly natural.

Hmm now I might need to look into Daybreak… Is the action part fun? Or is it more like a “hit them once to skip the battle if you’re above their level” kind of thing?

DonkeyPunchJr DonkeyPunchJr I'm not high enough to blow through a lot yet. Trails is super story heavy and not a ton of action. What like is I can use a sword, guns, or staff depending on what the mob is.

I would never call Trails an action game though since at its heart it's a turn based game. Don't want you to have the wrong impression.
