Gamepass is so fucking awesome.
Great idea, and thank you for bringing that up. It's a great month, and I didn't even realize Monster Train 2 was coming out. But I will not be supporting Xbox while they're participating in genocide. Not been giving M$ money for obvious reasons. Might donate the same amount to appropriate charity and marathon some games.
So a turn-based RPG is a JRPG? Pray tell, what makes it a JRPG?Obviously the game isn't out of Japan but yes, the genre is JRPG.

JRPGs are role-playing games that are made in Japan or made in another country but have common traits found in JRPGs. These common traits include anime/manga character designs, RPG elements, fantasy setting, and being inspired or influenced by a JRPG. JRPGs are recognizable by their turn-based battle systems, anime-style visuals, and story and character development emphasis. These games also often feature a party system, where the player controls a group of characters who work together to achieve their goals.
All those subscription cancelling didnt payed off, huh?Nice. Been wanting to try metaphor
People who buy and own a lot of games, maybe? The only people who don't have gamepass are either paid shills or people who don't like games.

What other conclusion can be drawn?
Avowed to Clair Obscure to Doom to Metaphor, in a few months. And I still just use microsoft points to pay for Game Pass. Havent spend a dime on it.
It almost feels wrong.
analog_future this would make BG3 a JRPG and we both agree that it's not, don't we?
It's not a JRPG in feel or tone or visuals. A JRPG is simply an RPG with anime/manga aesthetics and atmosphere. That's it. That's why no one calls Souls games JRPGs. That's why everyone calls Sea of Stars a JRPG.I think you're too hung up on semantics. It's not that serious, but I (and most others) consider Expedition 33 within the JRPG genre.

And RematchMetaphor is a nice add. Looks like another solid month with The Alters coming out in June as well.
Games like RE: Fantazio and Clair Obscure deserve to be bought and owned. I still consider buying games a "sacred" decision, so I don't rely on GamePass, and never will. The only people who don't have gamepass are either paid shills or people who don't like games.

If you are into mediocre 6/10 gamesGod damn, Metaphor is a big get
If you are into mediocre 6/10 games
If you haven't played Slayers X it's hilarious. Leaving soon.
I bought it and Hypnospace. If you ever attended a Warped Tour or other edgy 90s shit, you'll love it lol.I loved this. Might replay it before it goes!
As a big SMT fan I was pretty dissapointed with Metaphor in many ways
- dont want M$ as middleman to play a gameThe only people who don't have gamepass are either paid shills or people who don't like games.

Phil! Phil!

But gamepass is bad for the industry!!I'll gladly buy Clair Obscur when physical copies for the PS5 are back in stock and not scalped to the high heavens. Until then, I'm thankful Game Pass gave me the means to play it.
As for Metaphor, the demo intrigued me but not enough to buy it at launch. Adding it to GP will let me try it beyond where the demo concluded so I can decide whether I want to buy it outright or not.
It's probably part of a deal Atlus signed with Microsoft (Metaphor was receiving extra attention on Microsoft showcases and wasn't being showed up anywhere else prior to release).I am kind of surprised Metaphor has hit this list and Shin Megmai Tensei V hasn't. I need to try and get back into Metaphor, I usually get time to play games later at night and as much as I love playing Metaphor, the game makes me extremely drowsy and as a consequence I can just never progress very far into the game.
stahp, pls. stahp.

- dont want M$ as middleman to play a game
- dont want to be "on a clock" when playing a game (really hate that shit)
- if I buy, I support the devs/game directly, not M$
- less trouble with mods and stuff
- fuck subscriptions in general![]()
Perfectly reasonable but the shills won't hear it. It's God greatest gift to gaming!- dont want M$ as middleman to play a game

I played a lot of the first game and bought the sequel near launch, I preferred the first one and haven't played either in literally years (I'm surprised the Division 3 isn't out by now) but it's still worth a look, imo. There'll likely be an influx of noobs to party up with when it goes to gamepass. Is Division 2 worth playing so late in it's life? I've been kind of interested in it for a while now but it seems like it's far too late to jump in

How long is Metaphor?
After Expedition 33, I don't think I can do the 100 hour RPG slogs anymore.
