Meteos for US Release?

Wooohoo, I'm so glad I didn't jump the gun and imported, I was so tempted, but the Lumines domestic release was enough to keep me hoping though. Awesome news.

Meteos for April is exactly what the DS needs ... I hope they support it with some of those nifty download stations.

April? Yes!

Alcibiades is my favorite new poster. He is so very much, 'ow do you say? Ah yes. Passionate. About Nintendo.

Handheld wars...haha...can't wait till someone compares Meteos and Lumines numbers. Get in your camps now!

It's already started.

Was it Gregory who claimed that Meteos would sell better because Nintendo fans like the quirky shit more than Sony fans do? And wasn't it he that also stated that Nintendo would make more money and put out more games as a direct consequence of Meteos surpassing Lumines in sales? :lol

Yep, that was him...quite interesting to see a Nintendo DS owner stir it up first. I guess that's what happens when you have an uninterestling lineup! I kid, I kid

I expect someone to compare first day sales for both games by the end of the week :P

Heh. But I think Meteos will definitely beat Lumines in sales. But yeah, Gregory is one crazy mofo. He's said "I hope Lumines sells poorly and Meteos does well so it encourages third party developers to go to Nintendo DS so Nintendo can make more profit!" I did have a good, hearty laugh.

Meteos looks so, so awesome. If Lumines doesn't do well in the US, I hope that Meteos does doubly well to show some thumbs up for the work on these titles.

I'd be thrilled if Meteos hit the US in April, though I'm not rushing out to cancel my import order just yet. C'mon official announcement.

No need to sugar coat it. I've got 4 DS games, but until WW Touched hit, I was using my DS primarily as an uber GBA SP. Now that Touched is winding down and Rayman apparently's a turd (though I'll still buy it), I'm hardpressed to find anything on the DS coming out in coming weeks that I want to play.

And now the PSP's coming and I've got 5 games I plan to buy at launch. Nintendo dropped the ball, I think. I see the Japanese DS lineup and can't help buy shake my head and ask, "WTF happened?"

But man, when those Japanese games begin to hit US shores... we're going to be in for a neverending deluge of quality titles!

Yes. I'm patient. That's why I'm not bitter.

But, when?

Well, sooner rather than later. Polarium, Yoshi Touch and Go!, Meteos and Pac Pix will probably come in short order.

I wouldn't be so sure quite yet... it seems strange that Bandai USA would pick up Meteos but not Lumines. :/

Yea, I guess, but that's a given considering they got the news from the same source you did. Heck, this thead may have even prompted their postings. And since we're all getting our news from the same source, that means the sites and respective stories are no more credible than this thread.

They have no DS titles annonced on the web site, yet they talk about publishing titles for it here...... hint hint hint

I'm not doubting the if, just the when. It seems a little odd to me that they would announce the game's release 3 (early April) to 7 (late April) weeks prior to release, most are usually announced closer to 2 or 3 months before.

edit: Then again, Lumines was announced only 6 weeks before. It's certainly possible.

Yea, April seems to be a little soon, but all the better if it is true.

Also, is it in anyway odd that I named my new cat Lumines?
