IGN also put up a 20 min gameplay video and then took it down. Perhaps because the devs requested it?
Whatever it may be the release of the game itself is not giving me any confidence. No preorders because it has no demo sounds good but then there's also no reviews to be seen less than 1 hour before release.
Are they expecting that the 25$ price tag will be enough for people to buy the game without any third-party evidence of it being good? Good luck...

Seems like another Prey-like scenario where the review scores are getting butchered because of bugs. Prey's review score never recovered after that IGN 4/10 review.
ACG didn't mention game-breaking bugs but he did say we should wait until the game gets a bit more polished.
Although if this launch is a failure I doubt it'll get patched.
Oh well, I had high hopes for this but it is what it is.

For $25 this looks like my kind of jank tbh. Watched the 20min gameplay vid and theres a pretty large skill tree and things like side slams for the car.

First-person mod would be good I think. Might tone down the jank combat and add a bit more realism to the driving aspect

Wait for a patch. Combat is kinda rough. Fighting the camera. Skill tree is good. Environment is great. Voice acting is good. Driving is good. Music is great. Side missions make the world more live. Some NPCs don't activate when you come close to them, etc.
Overall very positive other than the combat not quite being perfect.

They had to layoff half the team mid development. Solid chance they had to release it now or risk not launching it at all.
Not trying to excuse them though, I won't fall for another one of these after STALKER 2.

I loved the concept for this game and trailers looked good. Hopefully they get a chance to fix it but I doubt it. Nobody is gonna buy this in this state and they'll probably run out of money. Should've been up front about it and launched in early access.

Game is fun so far. Feels like a classic game made with a modern game engine.
Running great on a 9800X3D / 5090. Completely maxed out at 3840x1600, I'm getting 90 FPS without Frame Generation. With 2x FG, I'm at my frame cap of 138 FPS with plenty of performance to spare.

Shame it is weaker.
I wanted to get it day one, but the bad CPU performance kills it. If I cannot get stable 60 with 5800X3D, I am not interested.
