MGSV:TPP LAUNCH TRAILER

WARNING!!!!, There's a SPOILER. What I suspected happened, but it definitely looks to be a spoiler @ 2:50ish. Something that hasn't been shown in previous trailers.

Seriously, don't watch if you don't want any spoilers. The video may trick you into thinking that he's just reusing footage from the older games, and from this game that they've released before. But they definitely haven't released that and it seems like it could be a major plotpoint.

Thank you for mentioning this. I will hold off on the trailer now until I beat the game.

Edit: Fuck I was too weak. Wasn't as spoilery as I thought. Right in the feels though this trailer...

Holy Disappointment Batman.

The ultimate stupid looking Metal Gear..... complete with beast sounds and a whip? WTF? I get the series has hit the extremes of any shark jumping long before that moment, but that just is head scratchingly stupid looking/sounding.

I was on the fence about this game sense hating peace walker, that single scene changed this from a 2015 purchase to a "I'll play it when ever I get around to it".

Out of all the crazy shit in Metal Gear, a whip is what sends you over the edge. Okay then.

Awesome trailer, aside from the massive effing
boss fight spoiler
in there.

The intro with the previous iterations is amazing.

Can I pilot it? I want to ride around the open world and devastate enemy outposts with that thing. Make it a final "do ALL the things" unlock.

Dude, you know it. No more Zone of Enders games, so he's gonna let you pilot the fuck out of that thing. He'll probably even let you color it right.

Maybe this will help.

You are my hero!!!! Thanks!!!

This really is the grand finale.

I'm going to miss Metal Gear Solid, but if the reviews and these trailers and these gameplay previews are anything to go by, it's going to go out with a bang.

I know people claim that the trailer isnt spoilery, but does that stand for spoiler-freak guys like me? Does it show a ton of characters, clips from story cutscenes?

Loved the transition bit in the middle. Obviously it's not to be taken literally given this scene in the E3 trailer.

Unless it's a kinda a fight-club split personality thing going on. I think it's more of a representation of BB turning into the character we all know he becomes.

Or BB is Batman en he is The Joker right?

The only spoiler is the transformation of the Metal Gear, which you've probably already seen by visiting this thread.

Well, he still looks like Big Boss in MGS4 so I still think it's another character. Then again, who knows because he doesn't have a horn in MGS4 either.

This is the last MGS directed Kojima trailer you will ever see.

Watch it.

Cry.

Watch it again

Cry some more.

Profit.

Wasn't all that spoilery tbh nor did it have as many crazy Kojima captions as I would have liked. Nonetheless this is a strange feeling especially knowing that the next Metal Gear (that isn't a pachinko machine) will be absent the essence of the series. That Kojima is one wacky dude. God bless his heart.

Why would snake talk while being chased by a metal gear? Too many games break the atmosphere by having guys ramble too much. Dialogue isn't always needed to add immersion. Drake's monologues and talking to himself in uncharted is great for that type of game, but for a darker game like this, dialogue isn't needed for intense scenes like that.

I don't get how it can be anything else, what it can imply other than "the madness of war and how we all alike" or something like that?

Exactly.

I mean on other trailers we see BB working directly with SF and SF interrogating Chico 5 minutes before BB arrives at GZ.

The other insane interpretation does not make any sense.

Every Metal Gear since REX (RAXA from Portable Ops isn't canon I don't think and since this is a prequel I guess you can count Sahelanthropus being the first) has had a Godzilla like roar and they all possessed destructible weapons that are suppose to surpass modern weaponry.
