You never said previouslly that his bias was a problem so his rebuttal in no way is trying to say that he is unbiased, you just added that after the fact. Like I also said previouslly I think he deserves some of the criticisms he gets(like that car movie where he acted like he didnt interview the CEO but in reality he had) but a lot of what he says in his films when presenting facts is true(the pay checks of the iraq contractors compared to the soldiers, Bush playing buddy buddy to the Saudi oil people knowing they harbor terrorists, etc etc). Now his bias means shit if reality supports that bias. You ignoring those facts of reality because of bias is just a nice way of saying I am ignoring reality.

However, one can easily compare and contrast him with someone like his buddy Tom Morello, who actually produces something aesthetically pleasing and meritorious.

Not neccessarily a fair comparison though. If a musician is also a self-righteous leftie blowhard, you can turn on the music and listen and enjoy and ignore the side commentary; whereas Michael Moore is a pompous leftie blowhard who's job is being a pompous leftie blowhard on camera. Kind of makes it a bit harder to avoid and make him infinitely more disagreeable.

Hell, even I'll admit that. I still think Roger & Me was the best thing he's ever done. But I would personally nail Michael Moore to a reinforced cross if it would guarantee at least three more good Rage Against the Machine albums.

Problem is that you talk like the facts in his documentaries are the exception and not the rule. Sure the guy like to spice it up a bit once a while but he's one of the few who had the balls to expose that dipshit Bush and his gang before the shitstorm of the Iraqi civil war and way before it became fashionable to critisize the war. Of course that's why people like you hate the guy, because he exposed these assholes when everyone was supporting the war and he keeps showing how twisted and deprived the capitalistic system is and not because he there's a hint of sensationalism in his documentaries.

No my response was clearlly to the fact that you tried to make his response become a response to something you never asked him if he wanted to challenge, namelly that Moore is unbiased or biased.

The only reason I said the last sentence was to let you know that using bias as a means of winning an argument is not effective. Saying well moore is biased because he says we were lied to about Iraq and that is a liberal position, therefore its not true or I shouldnt listen to him, is not effective and it is ignoring reality if in fact the facts tell us we were lied too. I should have made it clear though that point was more meant to be a response to a assumption I took out of it, something I see all the time being used not by you but by others. My bad.

Aggrivating you because his view on the world conflicts with yours doesnt make what he says any less true if the facts support it. I dont agree with your view on how a country should be run but if you present me some sound scientific research I'm not gonna call you a blow hard and ignore it. It would sound pretty elitist if I did that wouldnt it

Like I said, of course there's some facts in there but its basically an opinion piece.

I agree with you, but that's no cause for the anger that he receives. Hollywood is full of attention whores, many of whom put their opinion on the screen and try to disguise it as gospel. Why the extra hatred for Moore? Why not hate every one of them equally?
