Or 499?$599 US Dollars...
$599 US Dollars...
It’s 299Seeing as the One X is $500, I don't see this being any cheaper than $600.
what a strange question.
i don't need to buy a xone if microsoft announce all their games on pc since day one, but they announced this shit far beyond day one so people with a gaming pc who already bought their console was fucked.
i literally burned 400 dollars for a useless console because microsoft wasn't clear since day one on their pc gaming release state, it was a shitty move for a lot of people with a gaming pc.
and lol, i don't need a console to play on my couch because i already do that with my pc, and if i buy a game on pc i don't need to play the same game on console with shitty performance and resolution just because i have cross save.
and i'm going to be mad at sony if they make the same shitty move during nextgen....buys our console for exclusives games, after 6M-1Y, good news folks, you don't need a ps5 to play our exclusives games, how is that sound to you?
i mean it's a good thing so more people can play their games, but at least announce a thing like this on day one and not after people already bought your console.
the problem is the timing, not the news itself.
Lets clear this up in simple facts:
* at Xbox one launch, it could Suspend and resume every single Xbox one game.
* at PS4 launch, the PS4 had no suspend and resume feature. It was added later on.
There. Any questions?![]()
Tell England they’re no one.
True, its sad no one gives a shit about MS or Xbox brand outside USA.
Tell England they’re no one.
It's 240 inc 1 gameIt’s 299
In which parallel universe did this happen? That never happened here. It's always the other way around. In fact, it was 8tf too.I think they even said that PS5 is 12 TF and Xbox is 9TF![]()
Same parallel universe as the poster above? My dude, it was always RDNA 2 for XSX and RDNA 1 for PS5.Remember the other day when the insiders told us only PS5 is RDNA 2?
"insiders"
It's funny isn't it? When Cerny said it was hardware accelerated, certain people insisted and pushed it was software and Cerny's a liar, because of the word accelerated. Now Phil says it and it's dedicated hardware. That’s why they say HARDWARE-accelerated. Because they use SOFTWARE. Lol
Anyway, we will see when it will arrive. At least we know now that it’s going to be 12 TF
The 360 demolished the PS3 in England, so yeah. England hasnt been partisan in the past, and there’s no reason to think they‘ll change.Xbox outsells the PS in England ?
wat wat.... how about a game of cricket followed by a cup of tea and crumb pit ?
Seems fair$599 US Dollars...
The delusion. The only time xbox and its fanbase thrives is before its time to deliver. If that's the case then they'll be wiping the floor with the PS5 next gen in the USA by the looks of it.
Current gen consoles can only run one game and one media application simultaneously (which you switch between).Thanks.
"What are you talking about? Xbox One had suspended games since 2013, PS4 got it much later. Next gen Xbox is increasing it to multiple games, not just one."
The last sentence made it seem like it was available to only one Xbox game. Which brings me to this question. Why is MS advertising this as some new feature for the Xbox eco system.
Delusion would explain someone who ignores the history of the 360. Hell, even the launch Xbox thrived briefly before MS killed it in favor of the 360. What’s with some of you fanboys deliberately forgetting facts? The delusion. The only time xbox and its fanbase thrives is before its time to deliver.
Hope you keep the same energy tho and dont backtrack into "sales dont matter" like xbox fanboys somehow always fall back to.
RIP AMD PC Gamers who paid almost $500 for 10 Tflops RDNA1 with driver issues and no hardware RT.
I wouldn't say demolished, it was more 50/50 (at least based on my memory), which doesn't change your post too much, admittedly. Sony wouldn't want even that to happen again. The 360 demolished the PS3 in England, so yeah. England hasnt been partisan in the past, and there’s no reason to think they‘ll change.
It’s 299
Wildly impressive as they are, those specs indicate an $800 console at minimum. All Sony has to do is release a $499 console and the first half of the generation is won.
Im not ignoring anything. But why are you ignoring the circumstances surrounding the 360 and PS3? Why are they applied here?Delusion would explain someone who ignores the history of the 360. Hell, even the launch Xbox thrived briefly before MS killed it in favor of the 360. What’s with some of you fanboys deliberately forgetting facts?
Or Australia, or Canada, or Mexico. You get the picture. They're just pissed MS is serving good news like nobodies business.
Now that's some impressive stuff from Microsoft right there. I don't buy Microsoft consoles but they have my attention now. I'm officially nervous for Sony.
Looks like all the leaks are real so that's not looking good for Sony's end unless they magically have something hidden we don't know about. I'm not sure what hardware wise? Anyone want to chime in at the possibility on PS5 being close to this in power? How's it even possible at this point based on the leaks that are clearly real.
Can't imagine this will be under $600 but if it is kudos to Microsoft biting that bullet because that's some price+performance gain.
Where tha anime tiddies at bruh? I see them switchin an fixin, but all I see is dude bruh ass slapping brolo games on the sexbox. Not sexy bro.True, its sad no one gives a shit about MS or Xbox brand outside USA.
Can I be Jamison?
It will be $499 or Microsoft will pull some crazy ass mic drop stunt and usher this thing in at $399 effectively neutering anything Sony could possibly do. $599 is not in the cards.
Good one how? They're not fucking around; clearly. A loss to gain massive ground is not out of the question by any means especially when they have services busting through the seams left and right which would negate any of it.Haha. Good one.

Not several hundred dollars per unit.
Do you think they can't afford it or something or are incapable of offsetting it? This is how you dictate the entirety of the generation, a move like this shifts the industry.399 would be a massive loss per unit
It was most definitely not 50/50. But even if it was, losing that much mindshare and marketshare to MS was a huge deal, and likewise a huge deal when MS lost it back after the XB1 debacle.I wouldn't say demolished, it was more 50/50 (at least based on my memory), which doesn't change your post too much, admittedly. Sony wouldn't want even that to happen again.
The equivalent GPU is $800 alone, let alone the cost of the case, power supply, the SSD, disc drive, and controller. I think the cost of the machine will actually be $900 but Microsoft will eat $100 of the price at launch to retail at $799.
Care to make a bet? If it comes out at $599, I'll make my avatar white text on a blackground that says VAWN WAS RIGHT and leave it up for a year. If it retails at $799, you make your avatar say SHIFTY WAS RIGHT and leave it up for a year. Any other retail price cancels the bet.
Not to mention semi-custom chips and components ordered into the tens of millions and beyond =/= the same pricing as discrete retail hardware. What does Phil Spencer get to do. After all he said they wouldn‘t be out of position on power or price and he knows more about their costs than anyone here.

Nice. If PS5 is significantly weaker then I might make the switch for this generation.

The Xbox One X is $299 and will no doubt go lower as they begin phasing out production, not to mention we're still 8 months out so it can be dropped yet again.Lol. I can't argue with your great business logic here. You convinced me. They'll flush $300 down per unit sold. Come back when they announce that $399 price ($100 cheaper than they are selling the Xbox One X).

You're totally clueless, loss leading can go an extremely long distance as the payoff is these people over the course of the generation investing heavily into the brand, purchasing software, using services, pouring continued money into the platform. The more people they rope in the higher the revenue potential, eventually the losses will be mitigated and they will have a massive base which continues to pour in profits.
You're poorly educated.
