Microsoft E3 Press Conference Predictions

next gen console, it will be the only thing that will make this E3 good, all they need to do is so something, a tech demo, a console prototype, don't even have to talk about it
 
A bunch of kinect aka bullshit... HALOGEARSFORZA... then 5 minutes show and they reveal Durango and say "see you next year!"
 
Almost certain it will play out like this -

BLOPS 2 demo
Halo 4 demo
New Gears - reveal.
Some cool multiplat demos (I'd guess Resi 6, Metal Gear Rising, Tomb Raider)
Something on GTA V. Exclusive DLC maybe?
Third party exclusive.
Lots of Kinect stuff the hardcore won't give a crap about.
Apps and services talk.
Ending with a big announcement - maybe price cut, xbox redesign or next gen glimpse...
 
A ton of XBL Gold apps
Gears 3, Forza Horizon, Kinect casual games, Kinect Sports 3
I'm only interested in Halo 4 though
Most importantly, I can't wait for GAF's creative GIFs to come out after the conference is over. Don't disappoint, GAF! :)
 
I hope some more ridiculous Kinect demos as they are always entertaining at least. Certainly better than when they spend a half hour talking about new video/audio services.
 
Halo 4, Forza, lots of Kinect. Lights go down, conference over.

But wait. Surprise! Second GTA V trailer + announcement of exclusive DLC deal with Rockstar. Much rejoicing, E3 saved.
 
This was my prediction on March 15th. I wonder how wrong/right I really am. Only a few hours to go.

i cant believe they would show the new xbox . Nintendo showed what happens as soon as you announce a new console. The Wii sales dropped like hell. Xbox has the best sales ever right now. Every other console is going down right now only xbox 360 sales go up . Microsoft would be stupid to talk about the xbox 720.

and at the end before the show ends a crazy announcement...

well maybe Alan Wake 2 for the next gen . hmmm
 
I'm still holding out for Xbox 720. Hope is fading, though. I suppose it doesn't really make sense. Would be awesome if they did it, though.
 
Next gen hardware is the only thing that would get me excited. I'm tired of this generation.
Thank you Nintendo for making this E3 exciting.
 
I don't expect any major surprises in the gaming dept.... I think we know about those for the most part but unlike most here I think they have a pretty solid lineup even if its sequels.

I think their big play will be the other stuff.... specifically the smart glass and windows 8 will be far more of their conference than people expect.

Judging by the last two years, I'm sure we'll see plenty more than just four. Don Mattrick alone will be responsible for at least 3 of them.

I laugh at the people crying for the next generation. So many companies have folded or consolidated because of development costs, what do you think is going to happen if new hardware is pushed out prematurely again? I'm content with what we are playing now.
 
I know people are hoping for a surprise new hardware announcement but that isn't going to happen.

1. Xbox 360 sales are great right now and they don't want to risk causing them to nosedive.
2. Microsoft likes to only talk about stuff going on in the last half of the year. New games, partnerships, and etc. If it isn't happening by December 2012 then it wont be talked about.
3. Microsoft even made a press release announcing that they will not be talking about new hardware!
 
The next gen stuff will consist of some 30 seconds teaser of Durango and nothing more. They want to make cash with their current device and don't want to distract consumers with shiny new things.

While I agree, the sad reality is them showing off the dashboard features probably nets them more console sales than showing another Gears for example.

I would love to see a new core IP, come on microsoft, surprise me.
