MS just doesn't inspire any confidence that they as an organisation care about making games. I mean, they make games and fund games, sure, but the stuff they do always seems to just chase the same tired trends that the rest of the industry does.
Sure, every game publisher needs to follow the mainstream in order to access that broader audience and keep the organisation afloat. Sony on the other hand, does a much better job of investing in both mainstream games like Uncharted and Killzone, as well as lovely little experiments and high risk new IP like Detroit, Dreams, Horizon: ZD.
It's why I'll continue to game on PS, since they develop and fund more games, as well as more of the games I enjoy.
MS will have a great piece of hw out by the end of this year with the XB1X, it's just a shame that there doesn't appear to be a single piece of appealing (to me) software from them actually take advantage of it.
Also, since they've started putting all their first party stuff on PC, I've always said they made their XB hw redundant, since I have a pretty strong PC too. Incidentally, however, despite being able to buy Xbox games on PC, I don't actually own a single one... since none have appealed to me at all.
