Microsoft to live stream E3 conference on the 360

No way. That's awesome. Hopefully it works!

I was wanting to get cable to watch it. And I'm going to the Sony Conference, so I'm all set!

Noticed Keighley still tweeted earlier today about "Microsoft press conference exclusively on Spike TV yada yada"

Well uh, not really Geoff.

Never understood why this wasn't the case from the beginning. I mean, it's a perfect opportunity to directly speak to the audience they have built up for the platform.

Awesome. They should try a dry run before hand. Stress test the servers. I'm also hoping for a good show then, pretty sure they don't want to expose a bad showing to a wider audience than "core" gamers.

Watching the conference on TV/Xbox while going crazy on GAF...sounds like a solid plan to me.

Awesome. I can post on GAF while watching on my TV. I always had to connect my laptop to my TV to watch so I never got a chance to post.

Once upon a time... that would have been an exciting thing to hear. Now I'm terrified.

I've actually been kicking around the idea of getting rid of my cable recently, so I guess I might actually use this if I do.

I'm guessing the stream will be buggy, unreliable, and may lag the TV feed though, important for those fast moving online threads where you need to comment on the news fast (lulz)!

Wont there just be some internet live streams of it though? Say, IGN?

20 min of gaming 50 min of kinect and 10 filler crap.
Then they will show halo 4 or Next gen reel.

Didn't epic said they would show unreal engine 4.0 on E3 if none of the platform holders will.

Probably be behind all the other places though.

Gametrailers did awesome stuff last year so prolly sticking with them.

It is pretty cool, but really doesn't mean anything to the bulk of their customer base in north america. I'll be at work so I'll still need to watch some jenk gametrailers feed.

EDIT: and even if I were at home, I'm guessing the feed will be a bit delayed and possibily choppy if a significant number of people are watching. That last UFC event was straight up terrible because of how many people were trying to watch.
