MAT3 is the only place that you'll find S.T.U.N. Runner, Hydro Thunder, Super Off Road, San Francisco Rush 2049, Race Drivin', Rush Alcatraz, Badlands, and Mud, Sweat, and Gears all on a single disc.

No UMK3 or MK4?

And is it too much to ask for The Grid? Man that game was fun.

MAT3 is pretty much all racing games. Gotta wait for MAT4 for non-racing arcade games.

I could have sworn Hydro Thunder looked better than that - didn't that part of the game use to have a reflection effect in the water?

yeah - even the dc port looked way better :/

They better do some sort of godlike job on these racing ports. Their last 3d racer (Hard Drivin) in #2 was just horrible to play :-| Buggy as hell.

I still have this for my SNES and play it regularly. I can only hope they include 4-player support on the MAT3 version because it is sorely lacking competition when there's only 2 players. The NES version was 4-player, dammit!

collection sounds like a dream come true for me, but I can't stop laughing at one thing.

And the new, improved Super Off-Road, starring some porn star related to Ivan "Iron-Man" Stewart:

What a hilarious hack job.

Too bad the Rush port won't have the amazing N64 soundtrack..

The DC was a lot more powerful then the Voodoo-based board Midway used for the game. I'm guessing it's an arcade port.

Can't say I'm a big fan of those games, but that's a pretty damn good collection for 20 bones. Just hope some of the issues I heard about with MAT2 aren't present with this one.

Don't forget that there are straight arcade ports, kids. MAT is emulating the arcade hardware the games are running on.

The most important part of Hydro Thunder for me is that it plays like the arcade. None of the home versions so far have managed to emulate it.

Man...I loved that game.

Offroad Thunder and Arctic Thunder and the Cruis'n games would make this a bit more enticing. But I'm still all over it just for HT & Rush 2049.

BADLANDS! HELL YEAH!

I used to play Super Sprint/Champion Sprint in high school, but Badlands was just so great...

I didn't want to say it but yea me too. :) That was the first 3d texture mapped game I ever saw.. I was walking by it and did a double take... "Whoa is that a 3d polygon based game? I thought they only used flat polygons!"

Heh, Cruisn' USA was a sorry piece of shit...just laughable compared to the top racers of the day, nevermind now.
