I think it's actually quite strange that you can't add friends by searching for them or by using similar methods other apps use... It makes some sense if you consider how personal the app is intended to be (getting to know real friends etc) but I bet if this wasn't made by Nintendo we'd have more options.

Nah, that's not true. They've actually allowed those people the change their region and link their MyNintendo account. That's kind of the opposite!

Aren't the third and fourth options on the top row red? The swatches don't quite look it, but on the Miis they're very red.

Everything looks brown or variants thereof, and I am not color blind, that I know of anyway...

Just post your twitter here and you'll be added in time I think. But following people on the list should get you some friends faster anyway. If everyone's added to the list but no one actually follows the user on it there'd be no point to it after all.

When you open the list, choose to subscribe to it.

Well, if Nintendo's using the basic date-based automatic release mechanism, it'll be up whatever time the iOS App Store releases things scheduled for that date. If they're flipping the switch manually, it could be anytime.

I changed my region and installed it, but set my language to English...

I noticed I got a Mario hat and various other bonuses for "registering before March 30th" -- which seems aimed at the Japanese release. I'm assuming early US users will get a similar bonus.

What I'm curious about is whether there is any DOWNSIDE to updating tomorrow and officially linking my US Nintendo account... will I miss out on some system of bonuses?

In other words -- should I just delete and install tomorrow, or keep my current installation and local bonuses to see if they "stack"?
