You can make a temporary Japanese Nintendo Account and use that, or wait for the game to roll out worldwide. As of right now it's Japan only I'm afraid.

Do you need Twitter to use this? I don't plan on ever getting a Twitter account.

It seems to support NNID, google+, facebook, and twitter.

So I'm not really sure what all the twitter account sharing is about either.

Ok so I just finished going through the thread and adding everyone to a Twitter list. I'll try to keep it up to date when new handles are being posted here.

You can just go through the list clicking Follow and you'll have added everyone in no time.
(Be aware that you have to follow each other to be able to add someone as a friend in Miitomo!)

twitter is the easiest imo. not many ppl use g+, and for some ppl, facebook is for more personal usage than twitter. no idea if you can add friends in miitomo using nnid, and even if you can nnid friend list is limited

The camera feature to generate a base for your Mii is absolutely useless. No idea how it's so much worse than the one on the 3DS.

Miitomo is the name of the software. I means something along the lines of "Mii Friends"

I wish to be able to play this but my Android phone has no updates coming (4.0.4)...
And then I installed CyanogenMod 11 (4.4.4) to my tablet, and tried to RootCloak, Miitomo doesn't boot. D:
EDIT: In fact even removing root access doesn't change anything... which means Miitomo doesn't like custom Android builds.
EDIT2: Perhaps the problem isn't nearly as bad.

It is not out yet in NA. Regional only launch (Japan). Quite normal for Android games.

Oh my godd the interface is so charming. I was in love with how they designed Super Mario Maker's interface and this really has the same qualities. Even though it's a social app I'm impressed they managed to get this much 'Nintendo-quality' in there.

If you and your friend are on Facebook and you both have Miitomo linked to it, when you go to add friends, you will see them as people that you can add as Miitomo friends.
