Which is why Nintendo's continual updates will likely keep people coming back. It's all part of the plan.
They still need to improve the app but the groundwork is there.
We'll see what sorts of incentives they come up with moving forward.
I'm not bored of Miitomo yet but I think there needs to be more questions (I went through them all in 1 day...) and the friends list and adding friends is a mess. The Miitomo drop minigame is also frustrating especially because game tickets and coins are so hard to come by after you get the starting ones.
It's also very hard to get 5 hearts and 5 comments a day.
I feel I hit the point where I need to pay to progress (get clothes) in Miitomo faster than in any other mobile game I've played. And I play a lot.

Well, this is a bit of a problem. How else do I get lots of coins?
Pay real money.
I'm having the same problem. After the initial rewards, the coins dry up. You can get coins by commenting on other people's answers and answering questions (updating ones you've already answered works) but it's like 5-10 coins at a time a certain number of times a day.

Unfortunately, no. Only Facebook (you have to be friends with each other), Twitter (you have to follow each other), or face to face (which is buggy and doesn't always work).
Not right now at least. You can only get game tickets (for Miitomo drop).
Ah, that's too bad. Hopefully they'll add that in the future. I'll need to think carefully about the outfits I get...

I'd love to use this app more,but it always crashes when opening the text input. Is there a known fix for that?

Since you're able to add friends-of-friends, it might be easier to just have someone make a NeoGAF mii that indexes all the NeoGAF people, and they all add each other through that mii.

Yeah this is where I'm at.
The coins aren't too pricey (I guess...) and I've had a lot of free entertainment out of the app (and free Platinum coins which have got me free stuff) so I don't feel too bad putting some real money up.

Have you got a Wii U or 3DS? If so try logging in using your Nintendo Network login. The same as on the consoles.
Nah. Those are tied to another account. However, that did remind me that I tied my facebook account on miitomo and I was able to log in with that. Checked my account setting afterward and my email was on there so I don't know why it doesn't work.
Not sure if we're talking about the same thing, but I wasn't able to log in through the default method before because I had initially set it up via NNID. Just today I set up a Nintendo Account password manually, and now it's no problem. Previously the only way to log in was with one of the other linked accounts because I didn't even have a password associated with my email.

I finally figured out how to get the Ninja (Style 1) suit after checking the reddit and doing my own experimenting. Go all the way to the side with the stable bumper (1 side rotates, and which one it is seems to flip occasionally). Drop your Mii so that it lands flat on the little angled projection right beneath it - basically let it swing all the way away from the side you're on, then swing back a little bit. If it lands flat on that first projection, you have a strong chance of ending up on the suit.
Took me about 20 tries for the first suit. Then I decided to get the white one as well, and got it on my first try after I realized that the left side bumper was spinning now, so I needed to switch to the right side.
