I usually don't share this sort of thing on FB but I did it anyway. Doesn't hurt. More friends, more fun. I've barely started with my Mii though. Just trying to get all the linking done and make sure my Nintendo Account is all set.

Can't use this on a device that has ever been rooted.

My Nexus 6 was rooted at one point but I unrooted a while back.

App just crashes on startup. Lame.

The friending options are just kinda silly to me.

Why restrict it to only Facebook and Twitter or local. They even let you go as far as creating a QR code with your Mii on it and name...but it just creates a Mii for you to use when you scan someone else's code.

Not really into linking my social media stuff to this thing.

This app seems oddly walled off for a social app. Why can't I just find and friend people in app?

I think it's because they're focusing on actual friends interacting in new and different ways. Sure, you can add a bunch of randoms and play it like a game, but IMO Nintendo is trying to balance game with socializing.

Either Miitomo doesn't work on iOS 8.3 or it doesn't work with a jailbreak. Because it doesn't work on my phone. It just crashes..

Can confirm this workaround worked for me. I was able to log in with my NNID but now I'm stuck doing the in-app extra data download, keep getting error code 801-0011 every 10%ish. It usually resumes the download though. Probably not related to the root issue...
